and because it doesn't apply spell-effects whatsoever. I don't want a Liandry's + Rylai's Darius who will proc it on literally every basic attack.

Just stack AD + your passive and triple your damage output

already get AD from your passive plus it's a 5 second slow with 5 seconds of 4%/second. Plus, Rylai and Liandry's have decent hp and the DFT gives the AP at least some value.

The fact that it's also magic damage lets you do a decent amount of physical, magical, and true damage all in one champion again.
