No AoE taunt. You can still Cleanse this if I am correct. Also... WHAT A TANK THAT IS GOOD, NERF IT! (seriously, this is what happens nearly everytime a Tank gets buffed to have a CC niche)

Rammus had his taunt raped. Shen had his taunt raped. Galio had his taunt turned into a suppress. Balance?

It was always supposed to be a taunt and they just fixed it so it constantly reapplies itself because you could literally buy 35% tenacity and walk out of his ult with no damage taken.

The difference there is Galio's is the only one that is actually his ultimate. Its already hard enough and dangerous enough to get it off, but then when they can just walk away its really unrewarding and makes galio have no reason to be played.

You can use Summoner spells while taunted, you cannot use them when suppressed. That's the major difference between other hard CC (i.e.: Stun, Taunt, Knockup) and a Suppression effect.

You can use Summoner spells while taunted

You cannot flash during a taunt.

You can use all Summoner spells, except Flash and Teleport, while crowd controlled. You cannot use any Summoner spells (including Cleanse) while Suppressed or Silenced.

You can Cleanse, Barrier and Heal during Idol of Durand (or even Ignite if that helps). If your name isn't Olaf or Gangplank, QSS is the only way to remove Suppression without outside help.

Except it's not suppression, still. You can, for example, CLEANSE it. You know that Summoner Spell people forget about, intended for counterplay to things exactly like this?

Probably because it was a 3 second taunt on a 12 second cooldown. Probably because it's a non-ultimate skill that allowed him initiate or escape as he chooses. Probably because it's his fucking ultimate where he can't move during the duration and tenacity allowed many champions to outright avoid the damage.

Also, it's not a suppress.

That does zero damage.

Probably because it's a non-ultimate skill that allowed him initiate or escape as he chooses.

With almost zero damage, extremely high energy cost and terrible range.

Probably because it's his fucking ultimate where he can't move during the duration and tenacity allowed many champions to outright avoid the damage.

Absolute Zero. Nunu. You lose.

And why should non-ultimate taunts deal any damage at all, it's almost like rammus and shen can use other abilities while the enemy is taunted on top of having really good base damage.

Nunu's has a wider range, slows both movement and attack speed, works absolutely great as a ambush tool when used in a bush, does significantly more damage than galios ult, no one needs to hit you for the damage to increase. You only need more time to channel. Oh, and nunu and galio are completely different champions in the first place so it's a useless comparison.

{quoted} Nunu's has a wider range, slows both movement and attack speed

Galio's ult stops both movement, attack and spells, period.

Maybe Nunu's ult should suppress too.

kokopelli21 votes

Well galio's ult doesnt suppress........ you are auto attacking him the whole time just like a regular taunt

EffectFX1 votes

It doesn't stop attacks, the range is significantly shorter, the damage is way lower, oh and while we're at it they're not even relatively close to the same champion and both have different strengths and weakness's.

Oh, and what's that? IT DOESN'T SUPPRESS. You can cleanse out of his ultimate.

Galio's ult stops attacks? If so, that's a bug. If not, it's not a suppress.
