So what should I have done in this early invade?

I was playing Galio mid against Swain .

My jungler was Khazix against Vi .

I'm level 2, and have Swain pushed under tower. Kha'zix is invading Vi's blue.

Kha'zix runs into Vi, she runs away towards wolves and Kha'zix waits a second then chases. I ping Danger on Kha'zix. Swain had disappeared under tower (beginning to miss farm) but then shows up again. I throw a little damage on him (a Q) then back away from tower. At this point Kha'zix is exiting the jungle behind Vi to right between the 2 mid lane towers. I ping Danger on Kha'zix again.

Kha'zix proceeds to fight Vi for another second or so then starts running when Swain gets in vision of him. He eventually gets to River (exiting between wolves and blue buff) and dies as he hits the water.

He then says "If you don't know what you did wrong, there's no point even talking"

I wrote him off as a total idiot. Especially when he played solo the rest of the game, refusing to group. We had 3 free barons where we were 5v2 or 5v1 but he wouldn't come to Baron with us so we couldn't do it without smite (especially because in 2 of those cases their jungler was the only survivor so it'd be an easy steal).

We DID eventually win. Thankfully our bot lane had played pretty well, and I did well (to the tunes of the enemy mid and jungler whining that Galio is OP and gamebreaking). Kha'zix finally decided to play with us after 40min and we took Baron and ended pretty easily.

Then after the game I checked... and he's Diamond 4. Being Platinum 4 myself, I started to wonder if there was actually something I should have done different?

I just don't get it. I can't just run straight through tower to go help him. I don't see any world where a jungler should EVER be invading that deep, between t1 and t2 mid lane towers. However given the fact that he's diamond (and he never even tried to argue that he knew better because he was diamond, I literally only know his rank because I looked him up after the game) I'm wondering if there's actually something else I should have been doing? All I can figure is that he survived longer than I had expected and perhaps if I had roamed towards blue/wolves and come in that way we could have 2v2'd (or at least I could have saved him), but honestly I stopped watching when he came into their mid lane tower area because I figured he was 100% dead. If he would have backed off after my first ping, Swain had already lost XP and cs to the tower from his first backing off and when he went the second time I'd basically have had a free lane with the lead if it wasn't for Kha'zix dying to him and giving up buffs...

I say report him. He looks boosted to me.

Idk how to play jungle but I sure as hell wouldn't chase a Vi as Kha while an enemy Swain goes ss and an ally Galio spams danger.

Or if he is diamond...probably too overconfident.

yeah check his op.gg and see how often he's been playing Khaz, also keep track of things he builds, summoner spells...often boosted players will either build different or place summoner spells on different keys

Idk how different the boosted and actual diamonds use their spells and item building. I'm currently on my phone and opening op.gg doesn't work.

All I know is playstyle and skill level are very different. I mean a bronze 5 can have the same build as a challenger. Only difference is how good they are.

It was just a normal game... honestly don't think he was boosted so much as purposely trolling bc he didn't care about the normal game.

However I want to know what set him off, because clearly he thinks I played it wrong.

From my personal experience, plat and low diamond are too serious even for a normal game. Flame, rage quit and try hard as if it's ranked.

There are occasions where I've beaten trybard plats and they went flaming me to oblivion. Something like "YOU'RE SILVER YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO WIN VS ME!" Yeah and I'm Shin Godzilla in disguise.

Knowing draft pick, the mmr is always unbalanced. But I often make use of it in order to improve.

The amount of ego (at least in EUNE) is just spectacular.

Nothing you could have done. You did the best thing, resisting save syndrome and continuing to build yourself up for later in the game.

Since you had enemy Liss under her turret you had lane priority. Probably he was expecting you to go with him in the enemy jungle and assist him on driving away Vi and taking over that part of the enemy jungle.

Okay it's hard to say what you should've done without seeing video of the gameplay. But what i can say is this

  1. He isn't D4, he is Plat 4 in solo Q and D4 in flex.
  2. He is a Support main, not a JG main
  3. "We had 3 free barons where we were 5v2 or 5v1 but he wouldn't come to Baron with us so we couldn't do it without smite" Again hard to say without seeing HP bars and death timer ect. But you can certainly do Baron 4 v 2 or 4 v 1 in most scenarios even with your JG MIA. You just need to Zone/Kill the JGler which shouldn't be a problem in most 4 v 2-1 scenarios.

We had a top lane lucian that was really weak, which was the issue. As Galio I'd need to tank Baron, but would also be the only zoning against their Vi.

And since vi gets unstoppable for her ult, she really just needs to Q over the wall at anywhere close to the right time and then ult on Vayne to guarantee she's in the area to smite. Felt like an unnecessary risk.

Wasn't aware the rank was flex, that makes sense. I hovered over his picture to see the rank, assumed it would show solo queue :|

Impossible to know, why not download the replay, make a webm of that time frame and let us see for ourselves? This is all easily do-able in client, and you can just upload to a gify/webm site. Also, make sure only vision for your team is on.

He is diamond in flex queue, he's just another plat 4 in solo queue. There's a big difference between flex and solo queue
