The fact that there are much more problematic champions that have been like that for 10+ patches (Cough Jax Cough Camille Cough) and no one gives a shit.

Tank Viktor shows up for a single patch and everyone is getting the pitchforks.

For a single patch. Two, if he maintains performance in 8.21.

Hell, not even one proper patch, as he popped up just at the end of 8.20.

And then you look at Jax who has been doing about the same thing for 10+ patches, and doesn´t even get the same amount of complaints despite being about 10 times as cancerous to face.

tbh its just more noticable, sure all 3 are strong, but at least camille and jax havent actually left their primary roles. you dont expect to see a viktor toplane often, so its more a surprise when people see it works, and are therefore more likely to remember getting their ass handed to them.

How is this any different than if any other long range mage with a bit of safety played against immobile top laners? Range and safety counters melee and immobile. It has always been this way and will continue to always be this way. I'm not saying I like it as a person who plays primarily immobile melee champions, but that is the way it is. If you don't like it, then pick one of the divers to deal with him or ban him.
