And item 3302 was still his recommended starting item...

[zombie-brand-facepalm]

No wonder so many threshes are still buying it...

Id like to see Rito deal with a thresh constantly failing to last hit costing both of you tons of gold in the very early game when it counts the most...

That's like recommending item 3074 on a marksmen.

Inb4, whatever benefit relic shield normally has over coin is NOT WORTH losing hundreds of gold because your goober thresh can't reliably execute minions...

Happy to see I'm not the only who thinks that

So what do they take?

The shiekd makes not only thresh a lot tankier it also helps save ADCs as the face of the mountain can easily reach 600+ in shield late game. Not even counting the 350 personal shield which when coupled with the 500 health makes it a 1k+ effective health on 1 item.

Seems like thresh needs to learn how to last hit.

your theoretical analysis is just that, theoretical. how bout you experience something for yourself before speaking on it.

thresh is my main support and relic sheild is the best option coin is garbage unless you have a comp that supports it and your auto attack range is too short to getitem 3303 procs off and as he said above the tankiness that relic gives is an important stat for thresh

Theoretical?

I think you need to learn what that word means. I laid out cold hard numbers. There's nothing theoretical about what I said.

Face of the mountain is BY FAR the best items threshs can take. So as I said before

"Seems like thresh needs to learn to last hit".

Ever heard of the saying, "sounds good on paper?" also google the definition of theoretical lmao or better yet, hypothetical.

then google practical.

It's still neither if those.

Coin nor dagger offer NOTHING (cept some armor maybe) thresh wants. While face offers everything he wants.

I'm sorry if you can't last hit with 100+ damage auto attacks. You have way worse problems. I'm a janna main who auto attacks for like 35 and I can consistently kill minions.

I thought most Threshes still took that.

Coin is just so meh.

  1. well duh i just said they do because its their recommended item

No, I mean, Thresh mains. Folks that know how their champ works.

I mean, your reasoning for why Coin is better is that Threshes are bad at last-hitting, but what about the Threshes that ARENT bad at last-hitting?

It's not that hard to utilize Relic Shield on Thresh, especially with the flay passive damage. Last hitting is a pretty basic skill that you should be capable of regardless of role. It is by far the best support item for him even without the execute.
