What if Essence Reaver were to become the new Brutalizer item?

This way the only path isn't and gets some more play. Think about it, this would benefit a lot of people, ranging from to and even some champions like or who could then spam abilities even more in lane, and now with armor pen.

The build get could changed to + A new Baby Soul Reaver Item (I believe the popular term for an item is "Soul Sickle") that gives 10 AD and a smaller amount of what Reaver does not. And maybe a so the Spell vamp doesn't seem out of place.

Price cost would be 1337 gold + 800 gold + [Soul Sickle] 800 gold(?) plus a combine cost of say, 263 gold to put it at 3200 gold, the current price, or perhaps more (after all, it would be giving armor pen now). And the stats would be 10% CDR, +10 Armor pen, (those are from Brutalizer), its current passive, 10% lifesteal, and 80 AD, which could perhaps be toned down to around 65 so it doesn't quite match the AD of items, although doing that I think the price should stay the same.

Thoughts?

Brutalizer on Essense Reaver have a lot of sense specially by the 10% CD the AD can be down to 70. And the build path is better Brutalizer and Mini Reaver where Mini Reaver grants mana leech, AD and Life Steal.

true, i didn't think that the soul sickle could just have maybe like 15 or 20 ad and lifesteal and cut out the vamp scepter

Soul Sickle should not have lifesteal built into it, or it'll crowd out Bilgewater Cutlass. Soul Sickle should only have the AD and mana leech so that early on, you gotta make a choice: sustain, mana restore, or pure damage from BFS? You can't have them all 10 minutes in unless you're completely fed.

Well first off there are things we have to consider here. You can already have an easy 50 armor pen (not counting the percent armor reduction for last whisper and black cleaver) buy buying this item 3707 / item 3142 / item 3071 / item 3134 The more riot adds to that list the more true damage is possible to deal to targets. Vi could literally 2 shot the adc if this idea was reality. Riot has to limit these things.

Black Cleaver no longer gives flat pen. Making Essence Reaver an armor pen item won't increase the amount of armor pen in the game.

And I don't see why the current amount we have is not problematic, but giving 1 more armor pen item would turn Vi into an unstoppable killing machine.

soon cleaver loses it's base armor pen. warrior cant be bought in lane. brutalizer builds into youmou's, getting both is just silly because soon it will literally be the only buildpath

Like Bami's Cinder Brutalizer now have 2 build paths but one of these two build paths is only avaible for junglers, so Brutalizer still relevant, but its true the Essense Reaver need to be the AD Caster item, and Brutalizer fit very well in that role, the Mini Reaver can be some kind of Tiamat, Arm Seeker, Hexdrinker etc. That only have one final build path. and personally its not a good idea have mid tier items that only have a final build path.

I do however think "soul sickle" (a small essence reaver) would be a really really cool thing. I like soul sickle more than adding another armor pen item to the game.

In all honesty, Essence Reaver needs to lose the lifesteal component altogether. Bloodthirster eclipses it in that regard, so ER needs to stop trying to compete with BT for sustain and instead focus on its niche: mana restoration for AD casters.

While the idea has merit, I am of the opinion that flat penetration causes more problems than it solves, and I'm hoping that this Black Cleaver change is the first step in phasing out flat pen.

I completly agree the Brutalizer fit very well on Essence Reaver, actually Essense Reaver feel like a worse version of BT, maybe the solution don't need a new mini reaver at all maybe the fix can be change the build path and the Reaver passive:

item 3134 Brutalizer + item 1053 Vampire Scepter + 963g = 3100g

+60 attack damage +10% life steal +10% cooldown reduction Passive (unique): +10 armor penetration Passive (unique): Physical damage restore mana equal to 2% of the damage dealt,(up to 6% based on missing mana).

This can be work without the Mini Reaver part, and obviusly work's like an AD Caster item very well.

Too powerful. If anything it would have to still work off of basic attacks or AOE abilities would be as if you didn't use any mana at all. Honestly, I think any version of Essence Reaver that contains Brutalizer would be overpowered. The AD would have to be 40-50 to keep it toned down if it happened, and it would still cost 3000 gold. I don't feel like giving that many focused offensive stats in one item is healthy.

Obviusly the Total AD need bo be lower, its no way that keep the same 80 Ad maybe a 60 AD and a fair price reduction.

That's still too powerful. It gives way too many stats. AD, Lifesteal, Manasteal?, CDR, and Armor Pen. Even 60 AD would be too much for it's current price if they gave it armor pen. Any armor pen item that gives high AD would be too slot efficient, especially considering flat pen is tied to CDR in Brutalizer.

Men Essense Reaver fantasy its drain life and mana to the enemies... The cd and flat pen its too make the item more viable the AD can be lowered ig its the case.

Reaver does not have PEN. Stats do not magically disapear.

item 3134 can be a good into item 3508 or item 3050 IMO.

item 3508

item 3134 + item 1053 + 863g = 3000g

60 AD 20% CD 10% Life Steal

Unique passive: 10% Armor Pen.

Unique Passive: basic attacks restore 2 - 8 % mana, the value depends of the missing mana.

or

item 3050

item 3134 + item 1053 + 363g = 2500g

40 AD 20% CD 10% Life Steal

Aura: Unique: Reduces the armor of nearby enemies by 15 (700 range).

So the two items actually stay in a bad spot, Brutalizer need more build paths, so if a great chance to put in Zeke's or Reaver.
