So you're this close to picking Azirs #1 counter ever since his knockup got removed and you switch to kennen and then end up picking viktor?
Maybe people didn't get the message when febiven completely trashed faker with Zed vs Azir and it wasn't even due to skill difference, it was due to how hard azir gets countered in this matchup during the laning phase.

What are you talking about lol, dodging his bombs is easy and Azir can pull off his combo on ziggs whenever he tries to go aggressive.

he has a dash that he can increase the range of with his q which gives him pretty decent mobility against cho gath.
maybe I exaggerated his mobility but hes mobile enough to give cho a hard time landing spells

Cho easily owns Azir. EASILY. Cho's power spike is insane, Azir's take's awhile at least until he gets Nashor's tooth, he won't be doing shit against a 6 stack Cho. Cho will take no damage, do massive damage.
So yeah, a good Cho is going to destroy Azir with those knock up's alone, probably don't even need to silence since Cho's strength is insane, and as fragile as Azir is? EZ.

why are you assuming that every cho gath Q will land? you use your escape when you need it and not when you can dodge.
and yea cho is pretty strong against almost every AP squishy mage due to them all dying in 1 rotation of his spells but azir will have an easier time than most mages due to a slow, escape, shield, barrier as a summoner and his ultimate.
Also I didn't say cho would lose to azir, cho would destroy azir but zed can literally go on azir whenever he wants and kill him without azir being able to do anything while cho doesn't have that luxury of always initiating due to his q being slow and a skillshot.

It's different in competitive, if you can get a hard counter and completely destroy a lane and get solo kills then your team can relax a lot more due to less pressure and they are able to get more vision and objective control.
but yea zed does suck in teamfights and at mid-late due to counters but in this case it's worth due to zed destroying azir in lane.
