@Riot, i know you love your lore

Nidalee was a great champ a little over a year ago... she could mid and top with a 50% win rate and she was decent at support as well.

now i KNOW her lore is all about getting tossed into the jungle and being left for dead. but you don't need to take that so literally.
can we at least keep the 49% win rate? why does she need another nerf...

Like that lead in with the lore joke. Otherwise nid is fine right now. she is a good jungler capable of agressive early ganks and invades. Riot (me as well) think that her first clear of the jungle is just a tad healthy and easy. hence why q will no longer stun minions. She will still be the same.

Also, win rates aren't everything.

i know they're not everything,, but the 49% win rate is for plat+

in bronze its 40-45%,in silver its 43-47%, and in gold its 47-49%, granted nid has a VERY high skill cap. i i feel if she is going to be balanced around high level play (which clearly she is, based on her win rates) i feel like 49% is an acceptable win loss ratio. hey personly id prefer a 51% or 52% win ratio given hard hard she is and how much you need to rely on others.. but i 49% isn't normally at a point where i would consider and _additional _ nerf, generally if they are below 50% win rate in EVERY role in EVERY elo. they are either much to balanced or too weak

You would need to ask a Rioter for the exact motives but I have an idea why they are looking to tweak her kit a bit.

I imagine it has to do with how Nidalee appears to be the best champion in the game. Last I checked, she is rocking a 58% win-rate in Korean high elo games.

seriously? where are the stats on that, last time i saw her at 58% was right when they let her jungle and she was bugged with her ultimate that allowed her to reset her human cooldowns and able to lay down a trap that did 200 damage (when traps it did 10% hp capped at 200)at lvl 1 every 4 seconds.. and that certainly isn't the case anymore. i find it VERY hard to believe that statement. i know some of the sites are getting some invalid data.. Lolking seems to think nid has an 80% ban in bronze... idk but as someone who mains nid i tend to notice when she gets banned.. and she was banned in about 2 of my last 100 games.. I'm not great at statistics, but that seem to be to be pretty far from from 80%.. so maybe your site has bad data too..

champion gg shows her bat rat at 5% in plat+ and that seems like a much more realistic number to me certainly within the range of error i got

Korean OP gg in Diamond games; 58% and about 2% more than the #2, Kog'maw. Her win-rate is higher in masters and challenger, but that's probably not fair as the small player pool probably has a lot to do with win-rates.

Riot changed something in the client that messed how third party sites gathered data on ban rates recently. So I wouldn't trust ban rates specifically for a bit. Champion.gg had 0% bans on all champions, for example.

You also have to consider how win rates work.

Lets take lee sin. He currently has a win rate of (going to round to whole numbers for this) 46%. Tad low but lets keep going. His play rate is 22% (of jungle champions). That's pretty high. Due to lee sins popularity in combination with his high skill cap we see him being picked quite a lot by people unable to use him to his full potential or simply picking him and using him against bad team comps and losing, thus lowering his win rate. On the flip side when he is used to his full potential he has the ability to kick squishies through their entire team and get away at the same time.

Galio on the other hand has a win rate of 53% and a pick rate of mid champs of 0.8% and top champs 0.2%. This means that his win rate is going to accuratly reflect how good he is when playing in the right conditions (decent player against a comp galio is good against like 2-3 ap)

Nidalee with a 49% is doing pretty good considering she is picked 8% of the time (again out of jungle champs). She has the skill ceiling of Lee sin and if you put in enough games with her then her win rate shoots up to 56% (125+ games).

If she falls to around lee sins win rate then I still wouldn't think she is underpowered. Like him she can easily have a high impact on the game due to her ganks and invades (again which riot thinks is a tad bit strong at levels 1-4 hence the first clear nerf to q).
