i have had 3 straight incredibly toxic games. where people want to surrender at 5 minutes and want to throw. then i start doing good and trying to organize people and nope i dont wanna listen but ill keep throwing then rage
Aboylova926 votesI made a post like this a week or so back and was told I'm crazy essentially. I mean honestly the games are brutal. Tried to play twice yesterday, and generally I ignore the chat as I'm talking to friends on skype playing different games (steam summer sale is draining the funds), and both games resulted in horrid toxicity. All had pretty poor players. In both games they had individuals give up kills fairly early, and in both I glanced down at the chat around 5 or 6 minutes. They're talking about AFKing, they games over, cursing each other out, ect.
I mean first and foremost it's just a game, take a breather. But second, I mean it's 5 minutes in the game calm down. And then if that's not bad enough, in one game it gets turned into my fault as I didn't protect drag when it's a 4v1. I enjoy this game, but at time ranked can just be a storm of the worst this game has to offer. I've cut down what I play considerably and have been playing games like Portal 2 with my brother. Just not worth getting cursed at game after game, in something that's supposed to be a good time.

Since the start of this month....holy cow balls. If I wasn't trying to finally climb, I would just quit for 3 months and come back. It is terrible

3 of those games ive had someone refuse to lock jungler and force me to go into jungle with someone who's not good in jg and i dont know, so someone can go adc top or mid, then get mad when i dont feel comfortable ganking. 3 games of "gg surrender at 20 wow feeder scrubs" at 5 minutes in the game and down 2 kills

I honestly decided I'm not playing ranked until September. I'll climb fast enough then, but I can't do it. Every game but one today (including friggin ARAM for god sakes) has been a chore to push through cause of the way these kids are acting.

It isn't even a matter of wins and loses. The games aren't even fun. I just had 2 ridiculous games in a row, one win one loss. Had a kid in the last one that pinged our mid for a legit straight 20 minutes because he came bot to gank for us and "took his kill", so the adc complained till I muted, then spam pinged Ekko the entire game after his proclamation of "troll mode activated". Was similar the game before with an angry adc. We won, but it wasn't fun even a little.
I don't care 100% about wins and loses, I care about "is it even worth playing" right now, because it is legit, not even fun with kids acting a fool like this. Summer was meh last year, but dear god it is terrible this year, and I don't know why. It is like the more Riot tries to stop toxicity this past year, the worse these kids act.

Opportunistic2 votesI REALLY wish there was a way to not allow childeren (and immature people) to play this game. This summer is so full of toxicity in matches. It's the worst I have seen. In the winter, since i work second shift, I could play at night when I got off of work for a few hours and do really well in all my matches and win lots of the games. Now that school is out, there are so many trolls, afk and toxic waste being spewed out of children's mouths that this game isn't even fun. I play this game for fun and stress relief. How can it be that this community has less toxicity during times of schooling and then all of a sudden late may till late august toxic players just come flooding in. Answer? CHILDREN. An age restriction is not going to work on this game because people can lie about their age but, you know what would work riot? requiring you to enter a valid credit/debit card in order to sign up. That would take care of a lot of the problems. Wouldn't eliminate it by far but the stress levels and toxicity in the game would decrease dramaticly.
Long story short. Ban these kids that throw matches because they don't get what they want and you would make people a lot happier. I'm not spending another dollar on this game until things change and I am not playing ranked the rest of this summer even if it means i get demoted to a lower tier/division. I don't care. I have had it.
Jari1 votesThe reason that is not going to work is that at 13, I didn't know anyone in my grade with a bank account. Meaning they'd just use their parents. Why would someone younger not? There's also using stolen ones. Yes... people use them even now for league... And for some people who do have bank accounts, why would I just suddenly give riot my credit card info if I never played their game yet? Look at all that money they could just take if they wanted to, and one mess up in the system means it can be taken away. For your plan to work as well, they'd have to prove it's valid. Guess how many places check if it's valid? They take money out of it. Not alot, say a dollar, but still taking money out. So one dollar for your league account. No longer free to play.

Believe me when I get a annoying kid that yells at me if I die once I just mute them and it works like a charm. ITS SO FREAKING ANNOYING. Like I bet you they main Riven too.
bizzle891 votesSame experience today. Surrender at 20 because jungler got counterjungled and died... :D ADC flaming me, because he positioned wrong and die and was AFK the first 3 Minutes. Suddenly someone went AFK on enemy team (for the whole game) and we still managed to win... xD But Riot will ignore it again. It has become so common and ruins the game...

Yes they get irritating and whiny and act like you can do x and y but really you can't , and so they blame someone else. The people who do this generally are worse players, so mute them, and maybe report them, and move on with the game. If they truly have something important to say, they can usually use pings to say it.

Here is how it works. I just got off a lot of chat restricted games. So I was kinda on probation I guess you could say. So when they looked at just this game it looks kinda sorta bad when out of context but nothing even close to rage or rude just a little trollish. I shouldn't have gotten banned for that.

Yeah but here is the thing that upsets me, they are banning me for games im not getting reported on, for games where nothing is really going wrong, The few games I played before I got banned, because I KNOW I didn't get banned from any of the games where I was chat restricted, were all nice games. Btw didn't talk at all in the chat restricted games. Do you think riot's system is perfect? No system is perfect they all have flaws, I've seen them. You can get banned by raging in chat while having everyone muted, I saw a board/forum post on it and Lyte personally unbanned them. This system isn't perfect dude, my ban wasn't needed. Want me to ask for all chat logs from all the games that got me banned? I will gladly show them to you if they give them to me. The chat log I was talking about was the only chat log I got from them when I asked for one.
