Cleanse doesn't work when being ulted my Malz?

Went against him today and brought Cleanse for this reason. However when he ulted me, I couldn't use the ability. I always thought it worked against him.

Summoner spells CAN'T be used under suppression. And Malz's ult is suppression too.

It doesn't remove suppression effects. so it won't get you out of WW ult ether.

it removes his space aids and his ignite though.

I was wrong it will not cure space aids.

Only item 3140 can help. I took cleanse once against him. It was a mistake, i just removed his ignite.

Not really. It takes 3 times the amount of time for it to come off cooldown.
