Electrocute is the problem, not certain champions

Pretty much any mage who whiffs their skillshots can still get away with winning a fight as long as they manage to proc Electrocute and have ignite.

I don't have clips, but a Lux, Brand, Ziggs, Veigar, etc. would all be able to do the same. Granted that the first clip is mainly the fault of the Jhin who didn't get the damage off from any of his abilities or the full effect of his keystone.

I'm not really trying to say that Electrocute Is a problem, so much as I'm trying to say that, contrary to the false conclusion of the threads I actually found these clips on, the champions are not. Any champion would beat Jhin if he lands literally none of his abilities and gets only four auto attacks off, assuming they land all their other abilities like Zoe did. And any champ would kill a Sona they're 4 levels up on with just two of their abilities and ignite.

All you do by complaining that a champion that isn't overpowered is make it so Riot can't take suggestions from the boards seriously. Ignoring the facts, and even lying won't get you your way.

you can't place zoe and arhi W in the same barch as lux, brand, ziggs, veigar, ...

they proc electrocute when they miss just because of how their spell work. None of the champ you choose to list have those type of "i target the ennemy for you" ability

The Ecdysiast1 votes

You do know their W's don't count as separate attacks for electrocute, right?

Flemman1 votes

but they still count as 1 instance that you can't miss, the champ you list actually need to land their skillshot to get the same "stack" of electrocute

The Ecdysiast1 votes

Not really. All the other champions I listed have large AoE abilities that are easy to land. Brand in particular has two that are targeted.

"Pretty much any mage who ** whiffs** their skillshots can still get away with winning a fight as long as they manage to proc Electrocute and have ignite. "

"All the other champions I listed have large AoE abilities that are easy to land."

you need to chose, they miss or they land but they can't do both

Literally none of these champs go electrocute. Maybe veigar, but generally he still just goes predator.

out of those, i would say lux can go electrocute now that ultimate hat is in domination path, but she need to lend stuff to proc it tho

EuphoricToaster1 votes

Any champ CAN go electrocute, but the meta choices for those champs are NOT electrocute (Lux for example is one of the best users of comet in the game imo as she has 2 abilities that basically guarantee it to hit). Ultimate hunter is also pretty bad on Lux because of how low the cooldown on her ult already, not to mention it gets semi-resets on kill.

Flemman1 votes

trust me ultimate hunter on 3v3 is pretty good on her, an early lead can give you 3 stack min 3/4 so you don't even have to build early cdr :p

But i know, i take comet too but it's more because of how much I hate electrocute being more assassin friendly than mage

EuphoricToaster1 votes

Well i didnt know we were talking about 3v3 here, i had assumed 5v5 soloq.

I don't play that unfun map anymore :p

3v3 is the place to go, you actually met poeple with map awareness there :D

I didn't say they do, I said they could. Zoe normally brings Sorcery too.

EuphoricToaster1 votes

Right but they DONT go it, so how is electrocute the problem? Dont get me wrong, i think its too strong as well (and it IS getting nerfed) but i dont see the reasoning behind your specific argument, ESPECIALLY considering ahri is a whopping FOUR levels up on sona AND sona has one of the lowest base healths in the game.

Well I was pointing out how it'd be normal for champions to still win these fights after missing only two abilities. Specifically considering situations.

A Brand or Lux, with only two abilities, their passives, Electrocute and Ignite like that Zoe had, would also have beaten the Jhin who effectively missed all four of his abilities and only got an extra 62 damage total from his keystone (I did the math including armor, etc. for this particular clip on another thread. He actually would have won the fight if he hadn't missed both the grenade and W.)

And pretty much any champion with 4 levels up on a Sona with only autos and Electrocute would still have killed her.

My point was that anyone would have come out on top with ignite and Electrocute. It's not a matter of Zoe or Ahri being overpowered.

EuphoricToaster1 votes

The Jhin clip is just Zoe being broken and QT missing everything. Zoe gets a lot of free damage because of her Passive and W pasive.

So at this point, both your clips are invalid and dont really show anything to prove your point.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

It's not "free damage." It's her passive and her W. They're part of her kit specifically so she doesn't just get dicked on by anyone with the half a brain required to dodge her Q.

Your point is the invalid one, as it implies that any champion who misses 2 out of 4 abilities should definitely lose to a Jhin who missed all 4, didn't auto as soon as he could in favor of attempting to get back Stormrazer, and didn't have his heal.. That just doesn't follow any logic related to the game's mechanics.

If it were any other ADC, they would won the fight with those items and even that keystone. Jhin is at a distinct disadvantage when missing all his abilities because he plays like a caster and has to space out his autos, so he doesn't get the full effect from Hail until later on when he can actually fire two autos during its timeframe.
