IMO bot wins=game win is too simplified. Winning does not come down to just 2 people.

When I play(ed) bot it usually goes one of two ways

  1. It's a constant clown fiesta bot lane. Both tops TPing in, mid ganking, jungle ganking, constantly more than 2 people on a team down there past a few minutes into the game. The one who gets the most ganks inevitably wins because they get the tower, map pressure, and dragon.
  2. No one touches bot lane and it really is just a test of 2v2 skill. (rare)

I think most people are talking about the first one when stating that games seem to come down to a simple "did bot win?" question. I don't think did bot win is the right way of putting it, because you also have to factor in ganks from mid, jungle, and possibly even top. If you have a competent jungler doing well then it's more likely that bot will win. Same thing with mid and top. If you have competent players on your team who are supporting a lane and causing it to win, then of course you are going to win.

This being said I hate that bot is just a clown fiesta. Nothing tilts me more than a malz coming mid every 1.5 minutes and a WW ganking every time hes in bot side jungle.

Yeah, bot is decided not by the skill of the carry and supports, but by how much time people who arent bot spend down there

which is an important distinction. Some people make it seem like the whole game hinges on the ADC and support only, but that's not really true.

I mean, I get it. Its a team game. But that sort of strat gets so old to the point where you are concidered bad if you dont do it. A team game doesnt mean you use bot as a buffer and then complain if the other team beats your team to the point

I agree.

No, I have too many games where the enemy adc is fed 5 kills by like 7 min......and no one went bot......it happens waaaaay too much
