As much as I appreciate Riot looking at Akali...

Her PBE buffs are way off of the mark. This 'buff' simply allows her to run out of energy 3x as fast at max skill ranks. I love the ratio buff, but don't pretend that lowering the cd on a skill that she'll never be able to use effectively because of energy-gating is a buff.

I appreciate you, Riot, for looking at her though, and wish you luck in determining the best buffs for her.

1 second CD looks nice until you realize you don't play her much because energy is worse than mana.

i think that using energy instead of mana is a very important part of akali's balance. it allows her to regain energy fast so she can stay in lane instead of recalling and making her pre-6 laning phase even worse. However, energy also allows her balance by making sure she is able to run out of energy in a fight after level 6 and be vulnerable for a while so she can actually be countered during her strong combo (most mana champions wouldn't run out of mana in one fight but energy champions will). so it's good both ways to help akali and also help those countering her

This is the same view i had about her E changes... but after thinking about it, at the very least she will clear minion waves quite fast lol.

It's low damage, high energy cost, no longer pops the mark, and worst of all, it has a substantial cast time. I think a better buff would be to make it more like Katarina's W by removing the cast time. Akali is all about moving around the battlefield, and the mark proc was the only reason people ever used it. Now that it doesn't proc the mark, it's absolutely useless, and because it stops her from moving, people are encouraged NOT to use it, since it can allow a target to get away. When I played Akali on free week, I never used W at any stage of the game and still did well.

It is just like it was on Akali's release now. And people used it (and are going to use it even more after the buffs) for waveclear and shit ton of spellvamp like it was intended to.

E is basicaly useless now. Since procing the mark is bad for e, then some other use needs to be found. How about adding a slow, a ms boost, or a mr shread to e?

Because there is nothing else to buff without making her flat out stronger. Remember they just nerfed her low counterplay abilities recently, so why would Riot want to buff them back to a problematic state?

It is suppose to be a minor buff. Atleast Akali will now be a good waveclearer with that E change and a better jungler if you like Akali in that role.

Akali being absent from the League for the past few months has been one of the best things about this season. Let's not ruin it Riot.

HUGELY AGREE!, That bitch was #! freelo in Bronze-Gold Elo's for 3 years straight, glad she was gutted.

As a former Akali main who gave her up once she became the FotM, I also have no desire to see her regain her universal popularity. Temporarily increasing her DPS through this phantom E buff will only encourage pubstompers, while the real Akali mains won't see any real improvements to her gameplay.

It's fine if you don't like a champion, but no one deserves to stay Olaf'd.

why does akali need a buff? shes already a strong pick and popular ban

I can't remember the last time I've seen an Akali pick or ban in my elo. I'm low plat, and she's never played there, simply because other assassins are so much better right now.

She is a popular ban in low elo, but even if she's not banned in high elo, I don't see her being so weak as to need an immediate buff. I think Aatrox, Azir and some others might need a buff first

I hit Silver 5 out of Bronze and never saw an Akali once on the short climb I bothered to do. No one even banned Akali.

good news as someone who now plays Akali. she's not banned anymore.

I still dont think she needs a buff though, because if she gets a really big buff, I'm afraid they will ban her again and I (and other akali players) won't get to play her anymore

while the E change look like more than they actually are due energie costs, that ult changes are huge. With the new changes, you will allways be able to follow yout ult with an AA and thus proc the Q. It's so much more convinient to apply your damage, and the lower E cd actually helps in the early lane.

It is to allow her to waveclear like other assassins right now (Zed, Kat, Yas..)

There is also a change to her ultimate. The E is not all.
