From a returning player - Good job, Riot

I started playing League over 4 years ago, right at the beginning of season one. I played pretty consistently for over two years, but during these past two years, I haven't played at all while I've been gone on religious volunteer work. I just got back into League a few days ago, after a lot of help from a helpful player support red who helped me get back into my account.

I just wanted to post and say that I'm very pleased with the progress of the game these past couple years. League feels more balanced, smooth, and intuitive. The new tools and interface are impressive, I like the new items and jungle reworks, and the same gameplay that I enjoyed two years ago is still intact. Thanks for making a great game.

I feel much the same way. I'm loving the new jungle, enjoying the new champs they release, and the new tools and UI are very helpful for getting back into the swing of it. The fact that there are a couple balance bugs right now is due to pre-season experimentation, which nobody seems to understand. Riot does good work.

Weird because I have been playing for a year and a half and this is the most unbalanced I feel the game has ever been. Less viable picks in each role currently imo

Watch stuff from S1 and then now. Its completely different. Also overall the idea of what they want to balance is in the right direction, the real problem is the execution of it :(.

Also with this being preseason, there should I HOPE be a lot of unbalanced things, it is why it is here so they can fine tune it for the pro matches so we won't have smite wic 100-0 whoever he pleases if he isn't banned.

Yeah I jungle and thats why I might feel its so bad (although I think ranged adcs are destroying the game as well) Like to me these changes took all the jungles top picks and made them more balanced (lee sin, panth, udyr) and obviously ww popped back up but overall it made picks that were already bad even worse (sej, naut) and made some people who worked as niche picks (eve, wu, etc) bad also. It removed a ton of the jungle picks I think and honestly I'm not sure they can balance it now like I think its an itemazation issue. The camps HAVE to be toned back down to start otherwise you have to buff all the bad picks. So it comes down to allowing tanks etc a great item that other champs don't want because they have their own great item.

It has to be a troll. I played the game back in Season 1, it was miles better than this WoW simulator.

That, or he just has that "new game" feeling again because he quit for years.

Just fyi OP, this Preseason is currently gutter trash tier.

People have always complained about this champ or that champ being OP, and they will forever. Obviously, the game isn't perfect, but a rapidly evolving game like this never will be. It feels more fun, more dynamic, and more engaging, and therefore I want to congratulate Riot. Perhaps it is just the 'new game' feel, but even in that case, thanks to Riot for making a game that is fun to get into again.
