How to Play Kayle VS. Nasus (Detailed)

I will have a video for those who would rather watch me explain.

Kayle VS Nasus is very Nasus favored, Kayle can not contest Nasus from stacking he is much stronger than her early that she can not fight him and he has very good sustain so poking him is not very effective.

The way to survive Nasus in lane is how we set up our runes and what items we buy early. The full rune page and why I take them.

Kleptomancy: This is a common rune on Kayle but we take this in this matchup because you need to play with the idea that you can not fight or kill Nasus so to make the best of a bad situation is to be able farm gold off him.

Magical Footwear: Free boots are great for scaling champs, gives you 10 free movement speed and we are not in dire need of out boots early on you will be under your tower for the majority of lane phase.

Biscuit Delivery: Kayle's base kit has no real good sustain her W is a mediocre heal and costs a lot of mana to be using it as a sustain tool. We would want to use Kayle's W more as a kiting tool than anything. Biscuit Delivery allows us to have health and mana sustain and give you 40 permanent mana when you either use or sell the item 2010.

Time Warp Tonic: This rune has too good of synergy with the rest of out rune page and item 2033 to take anything else. Time Warp Tonic amplifies all potions and biscuits such as item 2061 item 2033 item 2010 item 2004.

Secondary Rune Page

We will ALWAYS go Precision secondary in this match up.

Triumph: Is always a solid rune and helpful at every stage of the game and can save your life.

Legend Tenacity: This is the bread and butter of this match up. Tenacity allows us to not be slowed from Nasus W as long, allowing us to get away before he gets too close.

What Items to Buy

The TWO items that we are going to be getting are item 3116 and item 3111

item 3116 Allows us to apply a slow with our E and passive waves when Exalted

item 3111 Gives us even more Tenacity on top of our runes allowing us to get out of the Wither as fast as possible

What to do When Withered

When Nasus Withers you, you want to immediately E him and apply a slow from item 3116 and start moving away. If he continues to run at you once he gets close but NOT too close you want to use your Q. The reason we use our Q once he gets close is because it removes the possibility of him dodging the ability and we are not stacking on top of our initial slow from our E. You can also use you Q and move at the same time so do not stop moving away from him as you use it, you want to make sure you keep that distance so there's no chance he can touch you.

I still DO NOT recommend picking Kayle into Nasus because even though you can survive the lane he will still be a high stacked Nasus who can be a problem for the rest of your team.

I hope this was informative and helps you with this match up. [poppy-wink]

Hey, just wanted to let you know that you are wrong about how tenacity applies to Wither.

From the wiki: If Wither's duration is reduced by Tenacity the effects will apply faster so the maximum values are reached when the shortened duration ends.

Link for verification: https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Nasus

So yes you are withered for a shorter duration, but you still get the maximum effect. I would actually suggest Swifties with legend tenacity, so you get a reduced Wither duration and a less effective slow too.

Edit- Also wanted to say that other than that little hiccup, was presently surprised to see someone actually adapting to a lane and providing a reasonable explanation about how to do so. Have an upvote

good video. good explanation. this is the kind of strategy videos that i wish more people would make instead of complaining.

doesn't matter if you're right or wrong because strategy is all about opinion and variety in gameplay.

just the fact that you have expressed your strategy in a valid format is noteworthy. so good job.

I never considered running Legend Tenacity against him, I'll try that next time I encounter the matchup.

Merc Treads + Legend Tenacity is 51% tenacity too.
