Remove Nasus' ability to use Q on towers (read post before you downvote me please)

Nasus has been a troublesome champion since his conception. His power is binary in that depending on shifts on the meta, his early game either becomes impossible to lane through and thus completely unviable or he becomes impossible to stop with the only way to win to end the game as fast as possible before he becomes impossible to deal with.

And the reason for this is simply because unlike basically every other champion in the game, Nasus' ideal game would be to never have to attack an enemy champion. What Nasus as a champion really wants is to be able to slowly farm a q so that he can just freely take towers and then eventually make his way to the nexus and win the game. Everything else in his kit is made for shutting down anyone who triest to get in his away.

A champion whose ideal gameplay scenario is to ignore his/her opponents is not something that can be balanced (well at any rate).

"But vfactor, he's fine because his teamfight is terrible" Lemme tell you something if Nasus starts joining teamfights he's making a mistake (usually). Nasus creates a splitpushing pressure that is basically unparalleled in that he will continue to scale and scale and scale in his objective taking power if left alone.

As of right now, because Nasus can use his q against turrets, every Q he uses against a champion feels wasted to a certain extent. He wants to either be farming it up, or using it to destroy towers.

And there are people who love him for that but you know what? If that's what you like to do go play farmville or some PvE game because league isn't for you then. Yes taking the Nexus is what matters in the end but the whole point of the game is to play around the Champions on the enemy team, not ignore them.

Which is why I believe Riot should remove Nasus' ability to use Q on turrets so that his teamfighting power can be safely buffed. Now Nasus has a better gameplay pattern in that a player needs to decide when to focus on farming his siphoning strike and when to go wreck the enemies face. And in a similar vein the enemy can decide whether to pressure Nasus to keep him for farming or trade letting him gain teamfight power for focusing on objectives.

To be honest I don't know how or where to move power from his Q but if Riot ever wants Nasus to be a balanced champion they must take this step. I'm not saying this because I want Nasus nerfed, but because I want him to be a viable and healthy existence inside League. Ok now you can downvote me (but do try and create a nice discussion about Nasus because he does need kit changes and not just buffs even if you don't think this is they way to take him).

Tl;Dr If you don't have the patience to read the damn text then your opinion doesn't matter since you obviously don't care about the topic.

Edit: In case it was clear, I don't want Nasus nerfed. I simply want to take power away from his Q (letting it hit turrets) and help his teamfighting power whether it be by giving him bonus MS or tenacity when in his ultimate, or whatever.

Upset about strategy in a strategy game?

Are you implying that any strategy Riot implements into the game is therefore a good way to win the game? Like for instance if you pressed some 100 combination of keys in a certain order under a minute at the beginning of the game you win but if you try and mess up and you lose. That's a strategy in a strategy game. Does that mean it should be there? Of course not.

It's frustrating to play against someone who is basically doing their best to literally ignore you. How is this a healthy strategy? Might as well playing against bots then. I am upset about a strategy in a strategy game because I feel it's not a good option to have and if you disagree with that then so be it.

Every champion is meant to be played in a certain way. Nasus is meant to be farming all game and your strategy should inclue to abuse his weak early game so he doesn't scale fast into a monstrosity while Nasus' strategy is to not get abused while being able to farm.

How is not for a stragegy? Pick someone that has burst early game into Nasus, force him to fight. He can't ignore a Tryndamere chunking him down while continue to farm.

I think he's fine as he is right now.

I don't agree with you on that point. It can't be feel wasted when using it on an enemy champion. It does huge damage when stacked, has a low CD and low mana cost. You used it against someone? Wait 2 seconds and you can use it again!

Not wasted in the sense of using a singular q, but just trading with the enemy in general. Every moment he isn't farming q or taking towers feels unnecessary as part of his gameplay with how his kit is right now. What you really wanna do is ignore the enemy and just take towers until you win. I've said it already but it's frustrating playing/laning against someone who's doing their best to ignore you let alone play passively. How does that make for a good game?

Even if you do know how to play against him, he will eventually outscale your damage with his passive and farm up anyways, and god forbid he has an anti siege team so you can't even end the game early.

Ignoring champions is a valid strategy, take Udyr for example. With Turtle stance, he could technically ignore everything that the enemy can do, and force them out of lane by occasionally attacking them. Nasus cannot be played without hitting his opponent, as they'll just poke him out otherwise. You've never played as nasus, have you?

I would like to see this change just so he can't kill a tower in 2 shots late game. I'd also like to see his Q bonus damage not apply to his lifesteal passive to give him insane amounts of healing.

I never feel like I'm wasting my time in a teamfight, or wasting my Q when using it on a champion. This is because I don't consider a teamfight milling about pointlessly for a few minutes until one team engages. If I'm there we are going to actively fight. I may only get 500 stacks by the end of the game instead of the 800-1000 I could have gotten, but I'll get far more kills which gives the rest of my team the ability to take objectives at a faster rate than I can do alone.

Everything is about map pressure with Nasus, and if you're doing it right you don't only have to be a split pusher with how he is currently set up.

My only complaint about his q hitting towers is that every champion with an auto attack modifier doesn't get to deal the damage to towers. I don't care which way they go but the should choose one for consistency

Just what this game needs. More homogenization. Lol

You know what champion is a scaling split pusher with tenacity that excels in teamfights and farms with Q? Irelia.

Just let Nasus be Nasus. The only way for the game to be perfectly balanced is if every champ did exactly the same thing(which is what you are suggesting) and then no one would want to play this game because of boredom.

If Nasus ignores his team and his team is losing, he will lose the game because by the time he gets inhib, the other team got Nexus. If Nasus loses lane to the many tops he loses lane to, and his team goes even, he loses the game because he's not a splitpushing threat.

Nasus is too weak in the current meta anyway where everyone and their dog has an escape.
