I don't know about laning AP casters, but AP junglers DEFINITELY feel weaker now.

I mean, I hate to jump on a bandwagon, but that's honestly what it feels like.

I just played a game as jungle Diana . I ran attack speed reds, armor yellows, flat AP blues and quints, and 18/0/12 masteries. Started with hunter's machete and 3 heath pots. My early clear was alright I guess. Okay HP, but I was running oom at my second buff. Not to mention, my clear took a little more time than before.

The early farming to Runeglaive was... eh. I'm not a great jungler I guess, but the enemy Graves must've been clearing somewhat faster than me. I was powerfarming till 6 basically and he still kept despite his ganks, and despite me clearing the camps on boths sides.

And even with level 6+ and Runeglaive... It's just not the same. With those spikes alone Diana became a formidable foe even before setting up for her late game, but now it's just... eh. I felt "okay." But I could not keep pace with the enemy jungler, and the Enemy AD'S in general, despite having a decent score.

The runeglaive nerf was a mistake, imo. Warrior gives 60 AD. It's a massive influx in stats and power because that influx is needed due to junglers having to spend so much gold on both Machete and Talisman, and their smite upgrade.

I propose that, at the LEAST, Riot buffs Runeglaive up to 60 AP. The nerf back down to 40 was totally unnecessary. Runeglaive's AP was always like 5-10 higher than Warrior's AD before anyways. I mean, I know that comparing the two enchantments when their not the same lessens the point, but.. let me put it this way. AN AD jungler gets 1:1 AD whenever they buy some. An AP jungler does not have 1.0 AP ratios on all their abilities... Now, that sounds garbled as hell and doesn't necessarily make sense, but do you see my point?

So, yeah.

TL;DR, buff Runeglaive because a lot of AP junglers are struggling now.

Have you tried starting with a Hunter Talisman?

That doesn't help the feeling of power inefficiency from runeglave... but may help your mana issues to start... also... how long till you got your upgraded smite? You probably realize this already, but machete and talisman both have a unique xp boost attached to them... so if he backed after one side picked up the other half, it may have made a difference in his xp... I don't know as I'm not overly familiar with the new jg yet... just some thoughts...

I do have to agree, I started jungling after the patch came in as elise and right away I died to blue buff since I was used to that pre-5.22 jungle clear and now I do have to say it is not the same. Though after I got runeglaive it was faster but their jungle got ahead a lot quicker then I did. Rito plz help ap junglers out, even fiddle.

I thought of my own alternative to Runeglaive if you wanna see it. If it's good, maybe I can get a Red to notice?
