I don't see a lot of balance. At least for someone of my caliber.

I get either put with a team that has no idea what they are doing or a team that can do it all themselves. The same goes with the other team. But what it is that bugs me the most is I usually do bad because its more likely for me to be put against a tough opponent. Which I don't understand. I do close to below average to above horrible. Not trying to joke here. But I'll be put against someone with a higher ratio of above average to beyond. I believe its mostly my horrible luck that puts me against them and that same luck that makes me a huge target. I practice a lot, and have some champions good enough to face off against these other challenges. But it just doesn't make sense to me. These guys who beat me have LOTS of experience and playtime. Why are we matched together in the same ELO? Or even close to be fair.

It depends on what mode you are playing on, if it is normal blind then that can happen. If you are doing a game with friends and your friends are a high rank they will pull high ranked people with them, but they might not be fighting each other in the same lane. If you are team builder it accounts for your skill level in that role. In my position ranked if fairly even, and I don't play ranked teams enough to know about that one. My recommendation is to keep a tally of when you win lane or lose lane, you should be around 50/50 and if you want then go to team builder so that it adjusts.
