I'm fine if you play Tryndamere...

Visigoth··45 votes·3,767 views

But don't act like you're god because of it. You have an AD Steroid, easy chase, no resources, a heal, and a magic "don't die" button.

Play the champ, I don't care, but don't act like you're better than Faker because you can press R. That's like acting like you're better at skillshots than Madlife because you never miss skills on Ryze.

The op is right. also don't act like you are a league god when you 2 shot as master yi, I don't find those very much any more, but I wanna punch the ones I find

Yi takes 1000 times more skill than tryndamere.

And Yi is the absolute representation of 10yo kids who think they play good.

But yi also has an insane skillcap and is quite rewarding to those whom have mastered him like Cowsep

you got a point

trynds skill cap however is "don't press T on accident"

ModAcademy Kayn6 votes

He's saying don't think you're good when you have a champ built to 1v1 and survive. Feel good because you played him well, but not good when all you do is R and win.

OhOkYea5 votes

Tryn is pretty hard to play.

MrPerson1011 votes

Platinum I x2 disagrees highly. His kit is so linear you literally cannot mess it up.

Thefriendlyorc1 votes

As a silver 4 who recently faced a tryn who did nothing but split push towers with his ult up, what do? It was immensely frustrating and I won my lane against him, but he would just rub his face against my tower over and over again until he had pushed to our inhibitors.

MrPerson101 votes

Shut him down in lane and babysit him constantly with your own splitpush. Let him build up rage, he takes over. Don't let him build up free rage, you win and essentially make it impossible for him to touch you.

Thefriendlyorc1 votes

I was gnar and was constantly harassing him, but heals versus no heals makes him hard to stop early. Even killing him in lane wasnt enough, as he would kill krugs for rage then return to lane. Once he had a tiamat I couldnt do anything to him. and I just faced another one in my promos who even on a bully like rumble I couldnt touch. He heals so much.

Leti the Yeti6 votes

I think it was quite a feat for a tryn to right click and R and still win despite everyone on the rift seeing this coming 45 minutes ago

i have the same question

Anidan5 votes

You don't have to care, but to answer who they are: they're some of the top players in the world. MadLife being a support main who is considered godly because of his insane playmaking capacity with supports, and Faker being considered amazing in the mid lane due to his mechanical skill. Just in case you didn't know them.

Orbv2 votes

Honestly if he watches any of Faker's games he'll see other Korean players (with ign I can't pronounce) who are as good if not better. But he was popular for a while especially after his big championship win. Now he's kind of lingering, great skill, not a great team.

Anidan1 votes

Oh, I understand that. But Faker, regardless, is still considered one of the best mid-lane players in the world. Kind of like how Dendi is widely regarded to be one of the best mid lane players in DotA, even though if you watch some tournament play you can find players that match his skill, and even exceed it.

Though, to be fair to both Faker and Dendi, even with some people being better or evenly matched, they still technically are some of the best mid laners in their respective games. It's kind of a reputation and notoriety thing with them at this point.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

I don't consider people that play Zed mechanically skilled.

Anidan1 votes

Only bad thing is... at a professional level, literally everyone needs good mechanical skill or that one weak link can and will be abused. Whether we like it or not, the players who play Zed (on a professional level), are mechanically skilled.

Even if that champion is a cheap piece of shit. Sorry, I really hate Zed. Like.. REALLY hate Zed. Almost as much as Kalista, in fact.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Na, someone posted a "faker top 10 plays" video. It was stupid. "Oh look, the enemy is sitting under the tower" Faker then presses "R,W,E,Q,R" enemy has been slain "OOOOOHHHH OUTPLAYED". Sorry, I cannot consider anything like that skilled in any way lol.

You want me to think you're skilled? Play Karthus in the LCS against Zed. That is skilled lol. Playing something stupidly OP is not skilled in anyway.

Is there any champions who are actually hard to play though? Maybe Azir, but other than him, there arent really any. People said zed was hard. but then u realise he has the easiest time farming ever and is so safe its never difficult.

Some may say that underpowered champions are hard, since they are at a disadvantage. But thats not truly being hard to play. If its hard to play, then you should be at a clear advantage after mastering said champion.

Out of all the melee fighter/bruiser champions, a lot of people seem to think Irelia and Shen are hard because they require good positioning, and are put into danger if played recklessly early. But the same could truly said about just about every champion. There are no "hard" and "easy" champions. Its just the player. Whoever the player feels most comfortable playing, is the easiest. The most awkward feels like the hardest. I personally find Fiddlesticks super hard to play. Many disagree with me. But that doesnt make him any easier to play for me.

Kitten of Evil5 votes

Hard to play champions? I can name a few:

Anivia Urgot Velkoz Yasuo Evelynn Viktor

Though it's interesting you named Fiddlesticks. He's actually rated a 9 in difficulty by Riot, if that means anything to you. I see your point though. When you're comfortable with a champion, you don't find them hard at all. Anivia's that way for me. But generally skillshots, combo-reliance, and moves which can backfire on your team (Anivia's wall, Urgot's ult) generally make a champion more "difficult."

Anidan1 votes

I wouldn't actually agree that they're hard to play. Not that they're amazingly easy, but even in the context of mobas, they're not particularly complex. The champion mechanics aren't that complicated, to be honest. I personally find Urgot to be fairly easy. Awkward to use, sure, but not hard. Anivia honestly isn't that hard either, especially after level 6. Viktor.. I dunno, I've heard some people say he's decently difficult, and someone people say he isn't, so I'd lean toward "not very hard, but with a decent skill floor." Vel'koz isn't too bad, it's mostly positioning with him. Then you got the odd ones out - Eve and Yasuo. I gotta be honest: They're not really hard either, but they're not in a good place, so doing well with them feels much harder than their kit has any right to feel.

The only heros/champions I've seen so far that are really hard to play, especially play well, are Meepo and Naga Siren. Playing either of them well takes constant attention and multi-tasking due to the complete barrage of micromanagement thrown at you. Farming/ganking with potentially 5 Meepos at once, using their skills correctly, and evacuating a low health Meepo, and only that Meepo while still managing the others well takes a lot of skill, from the context of mobas.

Honestly the only hard part about Viktor is that his Lazer is super weird compared to every other skillshot

Urgot and Eve are only hard to play because they have been nerfed so many times.

Anidan1 votes

Pretty much, yeah. Some champions feel difficult because they're awkward in some way (Viktor's laser), and some feel difficult because they're at an innate handicap right now (Urgot, Eve, Morde, Veigar). These are not actual forms of difficulty on the part of the champion, but problems with the game itself. Their mechanics are easy, but their power levels are low. Well, except Viktor--the laser just feels kinda weird.

Even the best lux players stand no chance against certain champions. She is out classed by champions like Velkoz, xerath and Ahri who harass better and have less mana problems

Elkhantar3 votes

Just fyi, he does have a resource; two tbh. Do you see the red fury bar? It is actually pretty important to manage, because it impacts greatly the chances of a critical strike. And also his health, you want to play him low in health because that way you are doing more damage, but you gotta be careful or you'll be killed yourself if you are caught too low.

I concurr, it's not a mechanically complex champion, which is good for me (bc I am not that nimble anymore) but it does require sound decision making (and a bit of favor of the RNG gods) like staying close to be hit by the tower before the ult runs off.

It's not an op champion, though, there are far worse offenders out there. I actually like that there are some champs that do not require a superb mechanical skill because there are more types of skill out there (like decision making or objective awareness or teamplay) that should also count.

Big Bang Bob3 votes

Why do you care who thinks they're pro? Every other champ is the noobiest thing ever.

Darius Oh look. You got close to me. T_T

Velkoz Look at me! I can delete people with a combo started by one multi-target spell. If try to escape, I'll snipe you at the back of your tower with a death star beam.

Every adc: whoops. Looks like you need more practice on cursor dodging.

Thresh I have a lot of CC and can still save you from near death.

TwistedFate Look at me. I can pick cards. (Somehow, that's harder than it looks)

Chogath Hi. I'm going to land just one rupture and then click on you to finish you with my ult.

Every champ ever: just point and click at the right time.

Tryndamere has a fairly simplistic and straightforward kit, which is simple to use; the key to using Tryndamere is picking your engages - despite your assertion that he has easy chase, he is in fact very kitable, and he has to stay on someone long enough to do his damage.

Do not confuse "mechanically simple" for "no skill"

TotalJerk1 votes

He has a slow with a huge AD debuff, a 660 range dash that means he can get in range before most ADCs can even attack him, and a base speed of 345. Who the hell is getting kited as Tryndamere?

I assume you mean, "who the hell is kiting Tryndamere?"

Off the top of my head, Lissandra, Vayne, Kallista, and Tristana are all pretty good at kiting Tryndamere. As a general rule, any champion with any form of hard CC shuts Trynd down hard (Anivia in particular makes me sad) - actually even a ranged champion with a slow will really screw him since his only way to get into range is on a longish cooldown, and his slow is on an even longer cooldown.

I know, I know, "CC shuts down any champion"... but it's not the same as Trynd getting CC'd as say someone like Talon getting CC'd - Talon is a burst champion, so even if he only got off one spell he put out some good damage, plus he has ranged abilities if the enemy escapes. Tryndamere has no choice but to auto attack someone, which means he needs time, and tiiiime~ is not on his side; as a general rule, I would say sustained damage champions are hurt more by CC than burst champions, and Trynd is definately the former.

TotalJerk1 votes

I know CC is his weakness, I'm just saying that kiting really isn't a particular weakness of his over other champions. I actually think Trynd is pretty fair unlike most of the people complaining here, it's just that I hate the fact that his earlier game relies on a crapshoot. His victory in trades hugely comes down to luck. That's mostly how I feel about any champion that emphasizes crit builds.

In all seriousness, he just needs his R to be fixed, so you cant use it while CC'd. I know, then it will be sooooo haaaaaaard to use. I mean, I might have to let go of one of my 5-6 damage items. It'd be unbearable. item 3153 item 3074 item 3031 item 3087 item 3035 ( item 3006 or item 3046 /item 3172 /item 3078 It'd be so dumb if I had to get Tenacity and defense of all things to live in a fight...

YOU BEEN WARNED1 votes

If you're serious about your point, you should 1v1 Trynd VS Trynd if Tryndamere was so easy.

Or make him play another champion, and you pick Tryndamere.

I found that all of my friends don't know how to Tryndamere actually, I suggested they'd play the champion multiple times though no success.

Sure, Trynd isn't the hardest champion around. Though saying you don't require skill to use him is overboard.

Every single spell requires skill.

Q needs fury management, heal = lose dmg.

W actually has a cast time and might as well be considered a skillshot given you're playing against someone who treats it as such, turning at the panic moment.

E is not a targeted dash like MasterYi's Q. It is actually jukable however I suppose you can say it's the least skilled part of his kit imo.

R requires burst knowledge and gauging kitability as you only have 3.5~4 sec before you're summoner 14ed, especially in teamfights. Most people here know how funny and satisfying it is to kill a Tryndamere before he gets a chance to ult.

DoFr1 votes

brand is quite hard too Brand

in this current meta with all the dashes and jumps, playing him is intensly hard, mainly because of the skillshots, and the mana costs and the fact that you have to chain them to get rewarded
