Redemption's active could be completely viable as a summoner spell.

That would honestly be pretty cool. It would give supports an option as far as summoner spells go and it would be cool to not get ruined as a diver by Exhaust every game

Eh exhaust would still be better. Redemption active is pretty OP tho.

So would Zhonya's, or Locket (which might be strictly better than Barrier), or Mikael's, and probably a lot more.

If Redemption's active is good enough to be a summoner spell that makes it rather par for the course.
