I felt like there was literally nothing I could do all game except for the first 15 min in which I did not die. After that he could 100-0 me no matter where I was whenever he wanted. I had just respawned in my base and was clearing super minions and saw his circle spawn. I flashed dashed ulted and used zhonyas. Still died. He could kill me in the time it takes my eyeballs to move from the center of my screen to my minimap. Infact he did on a few occasions. How is this healthy gameplay?

There is really zero counterplay with some assassins. That's generally what defined assassins to me. Someone that has very little counterplay and a ton of dmg. I don't understand what is supposed to be so fun about them other than that you can talk shit in allchat because there is nothing the other person can do about you.

Talon level 1-3 he is your bitch, treat him like it. Level 4, be wary, but keep the heat on Level 5, play safer, rake hurts now so it's not worth dying Level 6+ from here, if it's just you 2, you shouldn't even think about going in. Hug tower, and it is literally impossible for him to kill you, at least if he wants to get out alive. As soon as he blinks on you, an ult into your tower range ruins him.

Also, if he is in E range BE VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUR Q (this is more a general rule), once you've moved your soldiers it's a free invite for him to jump on you. If you are using it for damage, you better be damn well sure his E is either out of range or on cooldown.

If you are new to the matchup take Exhaust, Talon hates it, more so than probably any other assassin bar perhaps rengar.

Usually the best way to learn to counter a champion is to play as that champion,would probably tell you a lot more about the matchup than what you'll usually find on the boards.

ok. well just saying. I handled my shit in lane. I died only once and farmed much better than he did. He just can 100-0 azir with a single item.

not at first. I beat the shit out of him in lane by farming only. so I just went with morellos. then he got a triple kill somewhere

Yeah a lot of assassins rely on farming the side lanes if they aren't in a good matchup mid lane, when I play Katarina most lanes just consist of me getting as much CS as I can get safely and then roaming as much as possible. Which is why it's still a good idea to build defensively even if you are ahead, if they can start to catch up assassins are capable of some pretty extreme burst, so going glass cannon is risky. On top of item 3191 you could also consider a item 3027 , item 3116 , item 3151 or item 3040 , since a lot of assassins have trouble dealing with health stacking.
