Calling it now: Rek'Sai will be OP top lane upon release

Only because of the passive

"Activating Burrow with Fury will grant Fury of the Xer'Sai for 5 seconds, which causes Rek'Sai's next source of Fury generation to grant 15 bonus Fury and, so long as she remains burrowed, to expend 20% of her current Fury every second to restore health. The health restored is based on the amount of Fury expended, for a maximum of (25 × level) health over 5 seconds if she burrowed at 100 Fury."

Thats a ridiculous amount of healing on basically no CD at all

Burrow is on a 4 second CD after burrowing btw

How is going to actually trade? If you are wasting fury to heal, you wont be able to even use your true dmg.

your E is like a 10 second CD. you can use it and then heal most of the time.

You're missing out on damage if you're spending time healing up. You're also unable to last hit minions, or to generate more fury, or even to push your lane so long as you're out of the ground.

People will try to run her top, because everyone tries to run every jungler top. But she's clearly designed with the jungle in mind. Can you do it? Probably. Should you? Probably not.

i played her on pbe, she's not a bad toplaner, but neither is she op there, atleast from what i can tell so far

Rek'Sai doesn't seem that powerful to me.

I might not be reading the abilities right, but it just seems like a tank Nocturne that telegraphs her jumps.

Its not even power wise that she will be played. Its the amount of sustain she has in top lane. If you give a champ enough sustain they will be picked quite a bit.

She has a lot more mobility than Nocturne does and faster hard CC. She also does damage faster than he does.

her actuall in-combat mobillity is worse than noc, but her cc isn't delayed and the damage is more bursty, which helps alot. Beeing manaless also is a great boon for both jungle and top

Being able to heal for 25*Level over 5 basically every 6-7 seconds is ridiculous. Rek'Sai will never have to actually go back and will never be able to be pushed out of lane.

You've misread that. That's the max heal, if she has FULL FURY, when she uses Burrow. Her healing looks like Tryndamere's, where your healing directly scales off of the Fury you have when you use it. So, she'll be limited in the exact same way.

I didn't misread it. I've played her on the PBE. You gain 15 fury after burrowing and you can gain fury incredibly quickly. I was able to do it constantly within 7-10 seconds and constantly being able to heal.

did you ever play her? U need to built up furry first, which needs you to hit things in close combat. His passive is more a delayed lifesteal rather than free regen...
