Does Urgot get any compensation for Sterak's being Melee Only?

Urgot has stressed me out while working on this :/

Ultimately, if a champion breaks enough rules, I can't let them hold the item system hostage, and I can't make this item this strong if Corki can use it to gain immunity to assassins.

It means we'll balance the champion around not having access to Sterak's Gage. Given that he (Urgot) purchases it quite rarely, that doesn't mean automatic buffs.

That stat though is heavily affected by game length, which considering games are shorter, is unfair. No one is going to rush Sterak's on Urgot. It's going to be a 3rd or 4th item.

By that logic, Malzahar never builds Rabadons (1.45%) or Void Staff (2.70%), so why not just get rid of these items.

In fact, none of the top 10 AP mids build these items more than 5% of the time except Karthus, so getting rid of them shouldn't hurt anyone, right?

I agree with Dema. Also, lets compare it with the other items that Urgot players buy. Black Cleaver, which is a core Urgot item, is only bought 16% of the time. Frozen mallet is only bought 10% of the time.

Also, how many of the items that have a higher percentage than that are core items and not part of an item or a starting item? Only 3 of them, excluding boots. So Steraks gage is the fourth most popular item on Urgot. So yes, it is a core item!
