daily reminder that jhin is not kalista
jhin is not kalista. do not nerf him. youve got the wrong guy.
jhin is not kalista. do not nerf him. youve got the wrong guy.
Uh, as someone who's secondary highest (in mastery points, since Taliyah is Level 6 but Jhin's level 5) is Jhin, and as someone who can use common sense and read data from players at Plat/Diamond+, Jhin does need nerfs. He deserves them. He is strong in almost all aspects and is dominating the ADC meta along with Ashe right now.
jhin is op because ghostblade is op. Learn how to read buildpath trends. Not win rate data.
Which is why he does just fine without it?

every one of these builds has ghostblade. Every. Single. One. And over 80% have the dick blade.
You missed the ER->RFC->IE one.
oh. sorry. it was so hard to notice among the 9 other builds with youmus.
I mean GB/DB is the most popular build because of how well it can be abused early/mid game. I'm saying his crit build still does incredibly well. That's all.
im saying his ghostblade builds are the only ones that matter and are the only ones he is getting played on. the non gb builds are about 10 times more popular.
If you hit "More builds", you see one that's Essence Reaver, Rapid Firecannon, and Infinity Edge. Notice that it has a higher win rate than 2 of the Youmuu's Ghostblade builds.
Jhin and Ashe are the top-tier ADCs right now, and they're certainly broken and deserving the nerfs. His damage is absurd, he can do the worst of it from longer range, and he's strong early, mid, and late game. Plus, with him gone, the late-game hyper carries who can't deal with him at all, for example, my little rat who I main, can come back into popularity and maybe even get new skins that don't look bad. >:D
ashe didnt get buffed into this state friend. she was a low priority pick for more than 6 patches and then they gutted lucian. They didnt change her to make her stronger, other than to buff the ad on IE and to bufff berzerker attack speed. shes not overpowered. They probably could just nerf runaans and she would be golden. Why are they touching her kit?
She's not overpowered maybe. But she's almost always been a strong pick. And with various balance changes and Lucian being nerfed hard, she came back into prominence and is absolutely dominating the ADC meta along with Jhin. Thus, Ashe needs minor nerfs to keep her in check and not just rely on her matchups crowding her out instead.
I never said Ashe was buffed into this state. I'm saying that she's one of the top-tier ADCs. She's always been a strong pick and now we're in a pick-based meta that favors her because of her arrow for stuns and her Q for damage.
wheres the sona nerfs? wheres the janna nerfs? Wheres the runaans nerfs?
Sona has been nerfed several times in the last few patches, including a hotfix the patch she got buffed, Janna is good only when people actually know how to use her kit (which is extremely, EXTREMELY rare in my experience and in several other players' experiences too, including those who are in diamond), and what the hell are you smoking to think that Runaan's is an item that needs a nerf? Sure it's not bad but it's only good on certain champions. Kog'maw, Kalista, Ashe, and Twitch are literally the only 3 champions it's particularly good on and meta to build. Nobody else builds it. Nobody. Why? Because it's not good on anyone else.
Janna is usable by monkeys. She's literally the girlfriend champ. "C'mon babe, play League with me!" "I don't know who to play!" "Just play Janna and when I say press E just shield me and R when i need help."
Proceed to boost girlfriend to Gold 5
Then you clearly haven't played with both good and bad Janna players. First thing is you should always be in front of or next to your ADC creating pressure if you can be without being killed for it. If you are standing behind your ADC, like so many Janna players do, your ADC is forced to give up farm and just let the enemy ADC have a free lane because if they don't, they're likely to get engaged on and killed. Especially if it's a pick lane (Ashe, Blitz, Thresh, Nautilus, etc.). Second, you CAN use the ult to Insec. Flash onto an out of position enemy and ult them into your team. You have now done an Insec play as Janna. Third, you should let your ultimate run the full time if you aren't afraid of being bursted down. And let's be honest here, why are you using your ult if the enemy team's burst isn't gone or in the process of being gone? The heal will be amazing for your team and, if you have Windspeaker's Blessing + Ardent Censor, glorious for any AA based ADC. That long of constant healing, constant on-hit damage boost, constant attack speed, and constant armor/MR buffs can make anyone who plays Kog'Maw, Twitch, or any other auto heavy ADC jizz themselves.
Here's what most Janna players that I see do: Stand back in the lane, way, way behind the ADC. Throw them a shield whenever it comes off cooldown and let them do all the work. By doing this, the Janna player pretty much loses the lane on her own, but as long as the ADC doesn't feed, and the enemy ADC isn't someone who can abuse the CS lead they'll have too much, it might not matter overall. In teamfights, either don't ult ever or throw out ult to push all the enemies away without letting the heal run. Or get themselves out of position and ult at a bad time, when they can be bursted and the enemy has the cooldowns to do so. Literally commit suicide. Running into the enemy team face first in order to try to do the flash + ult play I talked about earlier without blowing flash or just stand there with the ult running while she's getting killed by someone. Never, and I mean literally NEVER, use the ult properly. I see so few Janna players use their ults properly. And all these things are because she's marketed as a super easy champion, all you have to do is press 1 button on your ADC every time it comes off cooldown and let your team win you the game. Most Janna players are so insignificant in us winning if we do that they can literally just go AFK and we'd have no lower chance of winning than if they were there. And some Janna players I've seen would even raise our chances of winning by going AFK. I don't play Janna, I don't even own her, but I know all these things by just looking at her kit and seeing what she can do, watching good Janna players play. If you think that Janna is the "Stand back and don't die and you win" champion, you are dead wrong. It's not just me that sees this. Look at Phylol's youtube series on his second channel, Phy Games, in which he does an Unranked to Diamond account and a Road to Master account. He outright says in one of his games where he has a Janna as his support that he would ordinarily dodge when he sees her on his main, which is Diamond, because Janna players often don't know what makes the champion good, and as such, do nothing at all in the game. In one game, he ends up getting a good Janna, whose clutch ults and great lane phase play literally win him the game solo. In another one, he gets a bad Janna, who stands behind him and throws down a shield on him every now and then. He ends up giving the lane to his opponent free because he can't do anything. If he goes aggressive, there's low chance she'd follow up with anything that helps. If he stands back and farms from range, he gets poked out/gets engaged on and dies. I'll admit she's a good support - one of the strongest in the game - in the hands of a player who doesn't see her as a free win "stand back and get carried" champion. I push this so hard on people who think that that's what she is because I know she's a lot better than that, and if that's what you reduce her to, you are losing the game for your team 100% on your own every time you play her. Soraka players at least know how to poke with their Q most of the time. Poke creates pressure, pressure creates an easier lane for your ADC. Janna players don't even seem to know what any button other than the shield even does most of the time. Another strength of Janna is her shield gives AD, making it a great trading tool, and it's the only shield in the game that can affect turrets, making it wonderful for depushing a lane or protecting a low health turret.
my main problem is that they nerfed her q in a way that BUFFS THE TANKS SHE WONT BE ABLE TO KILL ANYMORE!!! They needed to nerf her w which is her early power.
Oh, and for your comment on "Jhin is not Kalista", are you saying that Kalista is the one who really needs nerfs? Because she's been nerfed so much that, unless you're in Master/Challenger, she is the worst ADC in the game right now. Yup. The worst. Urgot would be a better choice. I'm bronze, and when I don't mess up my masteries, I can play her to decent effectiveness even without going duo with a support main. Probably only because people don't know how to play against her because she's so weak and out of meta. Even in high ELOs, she's still weak. First off, she's one of the only champions in the game with a less than 100% AD scaling on her autoattacks. Second, she's so support reliant, you have to queue with a friend or hope your support knows how to play with you, making her absolute garbage tier for solo queue, and third, she can be countered by people simply not taking extended trades with her - or by Jhin getting through a full clip on her and killing her. I think you're only salty about Kalista because she's the only champion in the game who can reliably dodge your W and R with ease - but you only need to auto her 4 times with a proper armor pen build and she's dead. Maybe Q too. And yes, you do need to scale up. But she's really only strong early. How I do so well on her is by taking trades, killing my opponent, and hoping the enemy team surrenders at 20, because literally every ADC in the game can outscale her with ease. If it runs past 25 minutes, even a Kalista with a sizable lead on her opponent is rendered useless for the rest of the game for anything other than an engage, and if her support DCs or doesn't stay near her she doesn't even have that. Meanwhile, every other ADC is just getting stronger and stronger, but her 90% AD scaling on autos rather than 100% really hurts her unless she goes for a very heavy on-hit build, where her AD doesn't particularly matter, and that's not going to be able to compare to any other ADC's damage in the late game.
Jhin is op.New Lucian with Duskblade item.
And Kalista isn't master Yi. And master Yi isn't Dr Munro. Yes, it's all coming together now...
Jhin has had the top winrate and pickrate of all the ADC's for a few patches now.
