Can we nerf Wukong, please?

Passively tanky, long-range dash, invisibility with a clone, armor shred (so you can't build against him), massive AoE damage with a knockup... and not one skillshot to his name -- yet he can one shot people.

Every time I see a Wukong, he either feeds, or carries. It's just absurd.

I mean, what weakness does he even have? You can't kite someone who can just dash to you. You can't build against him since he has armor shred built into his kit. You can't duel him since he gets passive defensive stats when you get near him. You can't poke him since his poke is a lot stronger. You can't really catch him since his W displaces him out of roots and whatnot. You can't teamfight against him since he has his R...

I just don't see how he's balanced.

At least Fizz has counterplay, even if it's mostly irrelevant. Wukong has no skillshots, low CDs, targeted dashes, CC out the ass, passive tankiness, and all that.

Wukong loses most top lane match-ups against competent opponents, especially if the enemy is a fighter or a tank.

If the enemy champion can rush Sunfire Cape, they pretty much win against him automatically. Even if they can't, he's still generally easy for most of them to dominate in lane.

Jungle is a different matter, but his weak early clear and reliance on snowballing and his level 11 power-spike hold him back significantly.

Also, the hyperbole is amusing.

  • "CC out the ass" when the only CC he has in a knock-up on his ultimate.
  • "His poke is a lot stronger" when his abilities require he be in near melee-range (with his only "poke" being a range extension on Q)
  • "You can't duel him since he gets passive defensive stats when you get near him" when he only gets 4/6/8 Armor and MR per person near him. If you are dueling him, you are the only person near him.

But see, even if you win lane, he'll just roam mid / bot and one shot the people there, get fed, and then beat the hell out of you.

Only if your allies are don't respond to the MIA and Danger pings you should be using when he goes missing.

Even if he gets a bit ahead, most fighters and tanks can still beat him outright (or he should be far enough behind by the point he can roam that it only brings him closer to even).

He's a feast or famine snowball champion. You awnsered your own question by saying ''he either feeds, or carries.''

Well, Riot doesn't even like that playstyle. So, he needs fixing. ^^

Ill have to agree. I always thought the monkey was OP before but I had never played him. Got him in ARAM and in my first game went like 20/5. Not only does he 1shot any squishys, hes stupidly easy to play as well.

  1. Passively tanky - FALSE. He's not range squishy that's for sure, but the term "glass canon Wukong" exists for a reason. The reason why you couldn't kill him in your game was most likely because he was fed and a few levels higher than you.

  2. Long-range dash - FALSE. His nimbus strike is pretty average range. Plenty of champions have much longer dashes than Wukong. Wukong's dash also requires a target (unlike Graves) and is not spammable (unlike Fiora)

  3. Wukong's dash is shorter than every kiting spell. As a Wukong main, it is ridiculous easy to kite a Wukong. Wukong relies on his decoy to close the gap into nimbus strike. If he is detected before getting into nimbus strike range (which is short), he loses all ability to engage/stick.

  4. His passive defense is only significant when there's more opponents. It provides very little in a duel situation.

  5. Every single assassin one-shots better than Wukong. These assassins typically have resets to make quick escapes as well. Wukong doesn't do as much burst as true assassins and does not have a quick getaway, therefore he's simply made a tad bit tankier.

  6. Wukong is weak against: High sustain champions / Kiting champions / Debuff champions (like Lee Sin/malphite AS reduction) / CC-insta burst champions / manaless champions

  7. Wukong is strong against: non-CC squishy champions.

  8. Any champions that fall into #6 can easily poke Wukong.

9 You don't know how roots work.

You done making things up?
