You don't have to spend 100'000 IP in runes anymore. Even rune pages are fundamentally unnecessary (compared to before were you needed a bunch)
So yeah, I agree, new BE system through shard only might feel clunky, but don't forget we'll NEVER reach the same amount of income as before, simply cause Riot can't allow that with runes being free.
Jbels1 votesLet's also not forget how fucking awful Hextech Crafting is now. Skin shards only disenchant for a tiny amount of orange essence now, making them entirely unworth disenchanting. The most you can do is just reroll them for skins and hope for the best. My tip to anyone with RP? DON'T SPEND THEM ON HEXTECH CHESTS. You are better off just buying the damn skin in the first place
