On Jungle Braum (Due to Popularity)
I remarked on a previous post that I happen to jungle
with
. Despite a few heretics and nonbelievers (okay, naysayers), I was met with a rather warm reception of the topic. So this post is for you. ( :3
Runes Seals: +9 armor Marks, Quints, Glyphs: +38% attack speed
Masteries: 21/9 or 9/21 by preference, +5% attack speed needed.
Level 1: Unbreakable, start Krugs on blue, gromp on red
Why does this work?
Once your stun pops for 32 +(8xlevel), you gain 8 + (1.6xlevel) magic damage on autos during the grace period. With my setup, you also have 0.95 attack speed at level 1. When the stun ends, hit your E to reduce damage (taking Q is worth less than 2 autos, so I take it at 2).
From there, I like
because it gives sustain and even more clear speed, so you can sate Devourer faster and gank at higher hp/mana.
It's important to pick this into teams that can use autos when you gank, or against lanes that can't escape you anyway. It is also importan to know that, since you're using Devourer, you will fall behind if you fail more than 2 ganks pre 6, or even 2 if you stood around in a bush for a while.
Once Devourer is acquired, assess the pace of the game. If your team has high magic damage, you will need a
, but the timing of when you get it makes a difference.
If lane phase appears long:

If the game accelerates or Wit's End is impractical:
Boots of Choice,
Since you have an Armor/MR buff and a % damage reduction, you need to prioritize health (hence the GB after Wit's or a Mallet rush). Before Sated came out, I also got good results from Iceborne.
As an offensive Braum, you can adapt to changing game conditions pretty well. If it's a chaotic match with lots of skirmishes, duel squishy champs and press small fights. Your chain stuns and shield are devastating. If the game turns into big teamfights at objectives, you've got the CC version of Rumble's Equalizer and a well-placed Unbreakable can win youa fight. If you took Wit's, your AP allies will get a huge damage spike. If you took Mallet, you have more control and help clean up a won fight.
In late game, you'll still hurt carries very badly. But you can easily jam up the frontline so your team can pound them down with impunity. Don't sweat it if you fell behind because you're still playing Braum. Nobody with multiple stuns, an AoE knockup, Armor/MR buff and the ability to block projectiles is ever useless.
Hope you enjoyed the post. For all you nonBraumlievers out there, comment if you want. But beware offending the Manly Mustachioed Mob of people who always bring Braum ( :3
