Picking Ivern basically means having two tanks for the price of one. He has some cool stuff going on in his kit, but in reality 90% of his power comes from insane amounts of tanks stats he provides for his team.
Especially in competitive, seeing Ivern team simply kamikazing Daisy into towers, taking them bit by bit because no enemy team ever has enough damage to react makes one turn the TV off.

Until you face him in higher elos and realize that he alone can completely fucking negate any damage-oriented melee champion in the game 2x better than lulu.
And you realize that t max cdr level 3 ult, daisy is literally up, all. the. time. Daisy has a 66 second cd with an up time of 60 seconds...

As a support main, I've been kinda inspired by the support oriented builds coming from the Pro scene.
Seems to me that a large portion of the tankyness simply comes from Ivern's E, and he can cast it on Daisy.
It almost feels better to use Ivern, not as a tank, but as a support to bolster Daisy, as many of his spells help daisy.
Muzét1 votesIkr. It's kit is almost revolving around his ult, bush a part. The Root who can allow daisy to dash on the enemy + the shield and the fact that he needs to build AP to make her do more and take less.
The fact is that according to the author Ivern = Two tanks in one. but as I said you can't be tanky as Ivern and allow Daisy to tank too. But his utility can be insane through items and keystones yeah.
