wasnt it bad and replaced with warrior with the 4th hit ranged onhit nerf ?

With the lane swap objective trading meta it is not too risky to bet on its scaling. It is still better in slot than warrior when you get to sated
As a player in solo queue I would consider going devourer if you and your team has a very good start
