I'll be the first one to say that this guy needed his saplings nerfed. While I'm a massive fan of Old Hickory, the nerf to his saplings was pretty boring. Can we get an extension on their timer? 40 seconds is nice, but since they don't hit hard, they're a CC item.
If saplings are put in grass (or, frankly, the jungle) they should sit there for 90 seconds. One man's opinion.

The saplings were always meant to be used for mainly cc. Tanks aren't supposed to do damage. Get that through your head.

No, I don't agree with you. Riot changed the saplings because they wanted them to be used for cc instead of cheesing people unexpectedly, and they were right to make that change. What were you expecting? Maokai is a cc tank.

I'm aware of what you're asking. But part of the problem with his old sapplings wasn't just the damage, it was the base duration as well and that's why Riot nerfed it. What do you not understand about that?
