And yet lb is about to get the nerf hammer a few more times (not saying she didn't need it but w.e) Urgot is still in a garbage state Azir and kalista are decent now I guess but hardly changed They nerfed syndra They nerfed kat They also nerfed nidalee but thank god the meta shifted slightly so she is actually viable again. Taliyah got gutted so hard she might as well have been a fish on a sunday afternoon, but lee, nah hes fine. MUH LCS BRUH

I know I'm going to get downvoted for this by circlejerk lee mains who think he is SOOO mechanical, when in all honesty lb's e is more mechanical than that (kek)

Idk, I ban lee most of the time, but I don't think he's OP at all. He is useless after 25-30 min and his only chance is snowballing the game.

Note how they did nerf him a couple patches ago. I think it was 7.1, they halved the base damage of his ultimate.

Also note that, now that the Warwick rework has released, the Urgot VGU is currently being worked on.

Azir and Kalista just got buffed, and with BoRK buffs coming next patch, Kalista is getting a buff again. They are also planned for more work in the future, when Riot can.

After getting gutted, Taliyah got buffed again and is currently in a spot where she takes a fair amount more skill than her kit seems like it should just reading the abilities, but she is probably among the best mid laners in the game if you have that skill because of her roam potential.

Syndra and Kat both deserved those nerfs (I say this as somewhat of a Kat main, though I haven't played her much after my month-long break because I've lost the mechanics).

Nidalee had a consistently absurdly high win rate among the players who knew how to play her, around 70% for people with 125+ games on her, literally all last season. Riot also didn't do much to nerf her directly, instead changing the jungle to where it was more difficult for her and removing her keystone. Which, by the way, the Bond of Stone keystone rework next patch might become something for her if she starts rushing Rylai's.

Lee Sin is rarely even seen in the LCS because of how risky of a pick he is. He falls off way too hard. Like Dakota Saturn said, if you can stall the game out to 30-35 minutes, he becomes completely useless other than for trying to dive the back line and kick the ADC into his team, at which point because it took both his dashes and his flash to get there, he promptly dies a horrible death.

Yet his ult damage is still quite high I dare say, and his r,q,q / q,r,q combo isn't hard to do at all and therefore should come with some drawbacks. He is far too safe. Not gonna step into the VGU but its nice that it is being looked at and worked on When riot can but the moment one of the champions I listed was "good" they got nerf hammered, but k Taliyah is kinda trash tbh, she is strong-ish but along with the current meta and the other options for mages she is very meh. As a prior syndra main and a current kat main I can agree with syndra nerfs, but kat nerfs it was a little unnecessary, she already wasn't the best assassin to begin with, not to mention talon still keeps his lv 2 all in ignite cheese ~~NOT SALTY AT ALL~~ Ahem, regardless Nidalee and Elise both suffered in the jungle quite hard I dare say, which is where vi and lee took to action, lee has NEVER been weak in the jungle. not a single season imo. Nidalee has, mind you she was reworked to be A JUNGLER, kind of like how they nerfed elise to also stay in the jungle,

The other thing is that, despite Riot's immense resources, they don't seem to do a lot with them. I expect that the design teams that they do have make a lot of money with how few there actually are. 1 balance team, 2 VGU teams, 1 roster update team, 1 splash art team, and an unknown amount of new champion design teams. That's legit what Riot has at the moment. Included in all those teams (except the splash artists) are minimum game designers, programmers, and balance testers. The splash artists, new champion designers, and VGU teams also have concept artists and splash artists. The new champion designers, VGU teams, and roster update team also have 3D modelers and animators.

As for Katarina, you say that the nerfs were somewhat unwarranted, but her win rate right now for a game ending before 30 minutes is nearly 70%. Talon may have his level 2 all-in ignite first blood cheese, like Katarina still does, but she, keep in mind, has 4 damaging spells at level 2. Q, E, dagger, E reset. + autoattacks and ignite. Name me a champion other than Anivia who can survive that if the Kat doesn't do something stupid (like do this to an Annie with passive stacked up) without flashing away, and even with flashing away if they don't wait for the second E and the Kat made it so the wave wasn't too close to the enemy turret before doing this.
