Best Mage Supports

Basically I'm asking if you're a Mage support and (because you're in the B5) you need to carry, who do you take?

I love Karma.

I usually go support on her. Ok, I do not take my apc runes/masteries as support. I have a mana/abilitiey power/health runes/masteries for ap support.

To go back to Karma, it's that she brings lot of cc that can benefit the carry. The w can do miracles when use at the right time.

P.S: Sorry about mistakes in english. It's not my first language.

Val'Koz, Anivia, Karma, Zyra, Annie, Lux, Kennen, Morgana... The list goes on. Any mage that offers strong utility (usually reliable CC) can be played as a support, and if they get far enough ahead then they'll have the budget to start stacking AP.

Dont play carry roles in support, instead carry your carry with Janna/thresh xD

sometimes a good offense is a good defense tho. a support should help with damage especially early game when your carry hasn't got the items to carry with.

Bruh if your looking for low elo supports go with morg/blitz/vel'koz . if your looking for the best supports go Janna/thresh/Alistar

That usually works, but some ADCs can't be carried at all.

Early kills are worth less then flashes late, twitch needs alot off farm, and ALOT FO NO DEATHS ;-;

chogath is an excellent choice. he can shut down jungler ganks from ability reliant champions with his silence and he has plenty of crowd control and burst damage for the carry to follow up on

i like to go Lux support. the snare and shields are good and if you have a AD heavy team then item 3504 is amazing. it also really easy to swap to a full AP role on her. and it much easier to take some CS when needed because of her passive

Morgana is OP as support but then again noone ever plays her mid anymore anyway without being considered a troll.

The early game Poking Queen is, and always will be, Sona. Some people say she's shit tier, but she's a support that can carry her entire team with her overall great (if simple) kit until her ADC really starts shining. AP Sona is the only Sona!

While Sona is a strong poker, her kit doesn't shine much when her entire team gets behind - she simply lacks the tools to play from behind. Also the OP is looking for a mage support that can transition into a carry role when their B5 ADC fails them, which isn't really what Sona is about.

OP: Morgana, Annie, Karma, Fiddlesticks, Vel'Koz and Zyra are the most popular "mage supports" options. Lux, LeBlanc, Veigar and Brand happen too - honestly any poke mage with CC could work in low elo.

twisted fate. easy stun, never run out of mana, pulls global aggro like teemo and when it gets heavy you just gate out. requires a totally different mindset to the ap tf.

I love Nami as a mage support, if you can land your bubbles you've really got everything your team needs. Q gives you a potential multi-target cc, W heals and does damage, E helps your adc do more damage and gives a speed boost, and R is priceless in teamfights
