That new champion looks absolutely infuriating to play against

I mean like, more than Shaco levels of infuriating. Oh my god.

It's a CertainlyTrash champ sooo..it'll probably be fun to play but absolutely cancerous to play against. Welcome to League of Legends where nobody's fun matters but your own.

I prefer the nickname CertainlyThree.

Because three hit passives and it doesn't make me look like a jerk. :)

CertainlyTrue-damage.

Melledoneus9 votes

Ironically only one of his champions has true damage.

The Archive8 votes

Currently, yep. However, Zyra also had true damage on her original passive.

Not like he made Warwick or anything

Thats a diamond in the stack my friend. also correction, he didn't make WW, he reworked him (iirc)

Fairyfleur2 votes

Even so, it's his most recent champion.

And A Real Hiero4 votes

They put a gun to his head and made him work within restrictions.

Most of all, she sounds absolutely infuriating to play against...or with...or as...

Thryale12 votes

yeah, I don't care for the annoying modern child personality they're shooting for with her. a 90's child personality woulda been much better tbh

Spacesuit Spiff5 votes

Your tank pointlessly waking someone up with an auto is my main concern with her.

Seriously, you ever try to get randos to not constantly attack everything in sight?

5050BS27 votes

She was made by the guy who did Yasuo so she will be annoying OP in the the hands of anyone who has some skill and Make people AFK in the ands of really skilled players. This guy should be moved to making sound effects for Riot.

kalima9945 votes

And she will still be good enough on anyone with half a brain

Fairyfleur1 votes

Maybe we should wait a little bit instead? Don't forget he made warwick too, someone much more recent than Yasuo.

NineTailedMystic2 votes

Warwick was a rework where he was heavily restricted.

Keep in mind..... that the videos are based all around her playing with no hp champs, who all use their summoner's at the same time, allowing super plays.

In reality, She'll be lucky to even catch 1 summoner, and her kit actually only has one movement skill with a pretty long cooldown (that hole in the ground). Furthermore, I doubt her damage scales that strongly per auto.

In all likelihood, she's going to go a lot slower in real play, get less perfect opportunities, and her skill shotting far less accurate.

SB Arneeman11 votes

I don't know about that... there is a lot of summoners burnt in teamfights, and she'll be basically impossible to escape since your flash gives her an extra flash

Azadethe9 votes

The passive requires her to run on the summoner bubble, so she'll be semi choreographed, meaning team cc will probably predict her hard and kill her. Also, I'm willing to bet people will play her super squishy, so getting off super plays is probably going to be unlikely unless her entire team is based around ccing for her to abuse the passive.

Another thing you notice is.... she seems to behave like a single target mage.... That's gonna pretty much make shutting her down like shutting Ez down.

See, the thing is, you're listing if these weaknesses and counterplay that make sense, in theory, but in practice every CT champ has been able to subvert their weaknesses once the player knows the kit.

Azadethe4 votes

I think the same is true for ANY champ, given that the people who primary 1 champ generally run 60%+ on them.

There will be situations where Zoe will be annoying as heck. But it won't span the entire game, and people will learn to play against summoner/active stealing. They will opt out of building actives, and they will space out their summoners and use them only when she's not nearby, and use kits that can stalk her, like a Renek, Ekko, etc.

"I think the same is true for Most champs " FTFY

Mordekaiser slow and Immobile and has weakness to kiting. Lvl 1-18. Yup still weak to kiting

He's still 60+% for people who main him with the Drake sieges, possessions, and lane pushing.

58% winrate. Diamond+ in his best role (Botlane) from the best players in the world.

Azadethe2 votes

His meta role is top, although people do play him bot.

I was saying what? As far as I can see, you don't have an account with a good history on Morde on any server, unless Mordepool isn't your main.

I was saying what?

You said that playing well can overcome any in-built Weaknesses of any champion, In defense of CertainlyT s design inputs.
My point was to highlight that some champions Weaknesses cannot be overcome simply due to aptitude

DuskDaUmbreon3 votes

While that may be true (you simply can't make Morde not slow - except by taking Stormraider's, of course), you can learn to play around any weakness a champion has. There's always a way around a weakness - no matter what it is - assuming you know how to play the champ right.

SpecterVonBaren13 votes

No, you misunderstand. A regular champ that's kitable or telegraphed will always be kitable or telegraphed, a CT champ will have something baked into its kit that allows the player to make their abilities not telegraphed or make them much harder to kite.

Take Tahm, Tahm is slow and single target focused and it doesn't matter how good you are with him, he's always got those problems, you do well with him by abusing his strengths despite his weaknesses. CT champs have weaknesses that, with enough knowledge, no longer become a problem for the player and are nulified.

Aren't half of the champions in league unfair and infuriating to play against already? This is part of the Riot design rules.

Thryale10 votes

she also looks absolutely infuriating to play WITH.

I can already see she's a champ that's gonna take about 100 games before you can do anything halfway decent with her.

I also feel that she's gonna be frustrating to learn how to play too. :/

Riot, can we please have a simple mage next time? someone with some basic skills that don't take an eternity to master? Please? I'm tired of all of these high skill floor champs :/

More anti fun than Illaoi?

ChompyWulf17 votes

Illaoi is fun to play, frustrating if you blind pick a champ she dominates, but fades in late game if you play smart against her.

Bobloser355521 votes

She is the most anti fun champ to play against IMO...I know she is not OP but in my elo she pretty much is. She is just annoying to lane against and you always have to jump through hoops all the while she is trying to teach you lessons of life....

NakedGranny4 votes

Because this game totally needed another manic, cutesy anime loli.

I swear to god I haven't seen a female character designed without that "spunky chipper and girlish" trope in years. If I hear Talyah hooting "whoo HOOOOO!!!!" one more time, I'm going to stab Xayah while she's dancing.

Camille and Illaoi?

Sexy Jack Rabbit3 votes

Nah. I think being a more modern champion she won't be toxic and busted design wise. She'll be like Yasuo.

Not like Shaco, who is infuriating due to bad design from years ago.

She conjures a rope of light to skip with as she's walking. I'm pretty sure "annoying" is part of her character design.
