What the fuck is the point of ranked?

I spent all of last season climbing from bronze 4 to silver 4. I was so excited and happy when I finally hit silver. But after all those months, I'm back to bronze 3 after doing my season 6 placements, What the fuck is the point of ranked if you can put in all that effort and it's completely fucking meaningless?

All those matches shouldn't be completely nulled by 10 placement matches.

You should be able to reach Silver again though, and this affected everyone.

Though what great about being Silver over Bronze snorts

I could, but it's not worth the effort.

And what is great about silver over bronze? the feeling of self advancement. I felt amazing when I was finally able to get to silver, but seeing it just disappear after working so hard, I have absolutely no will left to play ranked. It's just not worth the effort.

I mean if SIlver was my peak, I'd agree, but free skinzzz wins.

Besides, the quality of ranked games is GENERALLY (loosely used) better than normals

It wasn't meaningless, you should have gotten your Silver rewards for last season. Now go get them again. With that being said, Ranked actually is quite meaningless until Riot finally releases Solo que.

Ranks a grind, every season you redo it for some satisfaction and reward. If you arent ment to be silver 4 by the end of the season you won't be.

I think it's the same feeling with any game. Sure you play for fun but having a leaderboard and seeing yourself climb and improve is a pretty nice part of ranked. Maybe you aren't going to be challenger and maybe you are one day. Does it really matter? Have you ever been the best at any game? I love playing dark souls, should I quit just because Im not able to do a no damage/ death clear? No way man.

That said if you genuinely are not enjoying yourself then ranked is not worth it. It's a bumpy and long ride and if you stress out so much from a loss it might be better for your health to take a break.
