Open Challenge To All Players
This is pretty much a 2 reason post.
- To challenge everyone to go out and play a few games in unfamiliar roles and with champs you usually wouldnt play with. It seems like everyday less and less variety is put into the games which is sad because there are 131 champs and you seem to see the same 20 - 30. Im not saying go out and play off meta....which i have no problem with but im saying take a few games to play champs you normally wopuldnt play because you just think you wouldnt like them....maybe you might find out you do like them. Some people might not like playing Nasus and then might just think they dont like playing Top because they didnt like playing Nasus....but there could be other tops you might love to play. I was this way until a gave Garen a try...now I love playing Garen..he is fun. I used to only play Voli top and if iI got top and Voli was banned i would either try to trade the role away or just pick Heimer and play defensive......now im learning other options. Same as jungle.....Voli is like my all around guy...except for adc role...but this year he is getting banned a lot. Now i think Vi is a good back up for me for jungle...also Malphite.
This new champ select is watering down the league. People have no reason to go out and learn more than just a few champs or more than 2 roles.
- My other challenge is to get more people to try out support. You can clearly see how support is a much needed role in how in champ select choosing FILL is pretty much choosing support. I actually love to play support. I actually noticed a few seasons ago that I won more games when I was support...but that doesnt mean i want to play support every game. But sometimes the que times for other roles are so long that i just cancel and que up fill or support just to get a game. Some people are turned away from support because of all the hell supports catch from other people who dont even play the role and have a clue what goes into what it takes to be a good support. Same thing goes for jungle too really....people are quick to blame them too but a lot of the people complaining have never jungled.....they dont know what pressure a jungle and support have put on them....2 roles where 1 mistake will almost get you auto blamed for the outcome of the whole game.
Id love to see the day where more people are willing to support to the point where I could choose FILL and end up with any other role besides support 3 games in a row.
