maybe increase his mana costs in early game? makes barrels have a mana cost at lvl1-4? maybe decrease the range of his Q from lvl 1-4?
i think that riot should try to hit his early game really, cause if gp gets doran ring, his mana costs aren't a problem at all, he can poke you, use barrels every time ect...

Guyy Fieri1 votesOk first off...why on earth would GO get d ring? And you see that, Idc about him having mana, I know I will have enough to kill him in lane. Second, GP is actually weak eRly but you have to know to exploit him. He's really susceptible to ranged matchups as they can deny barrels easier and can harras him easier but even melee champs, just all in a couple times, use your combo then get out. Unless you screw up or the GP is simply better than you, you win pretty much every trade, especially early game.
Jbels1 votesGangplank is pretty cheese in lane. Against a meele champ? Shoot him with Q every time it's up and get more bonus gold from that than farming minions with it.
Against a ranged champ? Farm with your hyper safe Q and completely destroy them once you have Triforce
