Why some champions nerfed the exact second they get played in the pro scene?

Early season 4, Khazix and Elise are god tier. Both get nerfed into the ground. Later Kha'Zix gets a 10 damage buff on his Q and during the end of the Summer split and worlds gets some play. He immediately gets nerfed after he starts getting played (despite the fact that he was NOT over powered). Rengar performed just as well during worlds. Hell, even Pantheon did well when inSec was playing him. If Kha'Zix was supposedly OP during worlds, then so were Rengar and Pantheon.

Azir comes out. He's pretty strong, but also buggy. Bugs get fixed, he starts doing well. He gets played by pros once, boom, that's the sound of the nerf cannon. Completely gutted to the lowest win rate.

In Korea Veigar was getting played as support. DFG gets removed and he gets gutted. None of those three things fit together. Why the fuck was he nerfed? As far as I can tell Riot saw him being played as support and thought "Woah, that guy is preventing LC$ Big plays with that stun, better gut him"

And yet Kalista has been overpowered as hell for months now and Riot has done almost nothing to nerf her. Favoritism at its finest.

Dude that's obvious if you look carefully.

Riot does not want those kind of champion in LCS. Why? I'll explain it to you step by step:

Elise Clear strenghts and clear weaknesses but...whet would you usually do as Elise? Human form>E>W>Q>R>W>Q in 2 seconds and you either scored the kill or get killed = borring to warch = no money.

Khazix Clear strenghts and clear weaknesses but not much of a flashy plays tho, only that reset if you manage to get it during the teamfight, if not you are just a raw brute force and Riot doesn't like it.

Azir Again, clear strenghts and clear weaknesses but wait....he was a good counter to early game Zed, Talon and Yasuo because he could out poke them and probably win the lane and you know Riot wanted the season of the Assassins? They nerfed Azir so Zed could roflstomp easily.

Veigar Poor little thingy.....His stun worked fine against dash, blink, smash, assroll, HAHA, HUHU, HAKU champions that are fun to warch so they nerfed him hard....Who dafaq should be able to AOE instant stun Zed, Le Blanc, Le Sin etc? Noone, NURFFFFFFHAMMERRR!!!

In the other hands:

Kalista ''LOOOOL LOOK AT THAT KITE OOOO NONONONONO SHE JUST THROWN LEONA INTO THEM HAHAHAHAHAHA PENTAKILL'' = Fun + Hype + Crowd = Money

Zed ''LOOK HE ULTED FULL HP SEJUANI NOO LOK AT THAT QUADRAKILL....OH HE GOT COUGHT NOOOOOO LOOK AT THAT JUKEEEEE" = And crowd goes wild = MONEYYY!!

Same goes for LeeSin and Leblanc tho....

Got it?

I strongly suspect they ask the pros whether or not they think a champion is overpowered after it does well in LCS. I think that's why you see such apparent inconsistencies. Whether or not you like it, the pros have a lot of say in League balance. I think that's why Lee seems nerf-proof for instance.
