Almost completely lost the love for the game this season.

Only thing keeping me in the game is that right now I don't have anything better to do. Fuckin' depressing. I can't play any of my favorite champs: wukong only good in low elo, udyr and volibear get kited into oblivion, vladimir is good but rework kind of ruined him for me. Only champ I could play was Soraka, but I got burnt out of the support role when I dropped from d2 to d5. Only adc I could play before was graves, but reworked into something else. Also, the meta is complete trash, I was never a meta slav, but this season is pure salt incarnate. Adcs killing some tanks in seconds, others like sej, galio are unkillable and cc overlords. Then you have someone like fiora ruining yor will to live, etc. I don't even want to talk about matchmaking, it has been said a lot. All in all, just a disappointing season. Now I'm just waiting for the preseason, so maybe the new runes will get that excitement going again.

I know the feeling. As a mid main, it just feels too difficult to carry the game even if I destroy mid lane due to the game currently being very botlane-centric. I used to look down on those who only played normals but now I see where they're coming from. I almost exclusively play normals now because it's much less stress. Hopefully next season will be better.

Ive always only played norms because waiting 5 minutes to get into the game annoys me.

Why do people compare lanes like that? Botlane is two people. If it isn't about twice as important as mid or top, that is not a good sign.

What's your deal anyway? The game itself will always be good, it's the community that makes the game shit imo. I'm not going to wait for things to get better, there are a ton of other games (or hobbies in general) out there that make the experience A LOT better than League. Browsing the forums has nothing to do with it.

As a toplane main that likes fighters and occasionally mid that prefers Assasins, i can feel you. The game never has been that shitty for melees that aren't CC-bots. Even if you wouldn't be CCed to death, most ADC these days can just stand still and facetank you thx to their support while you die in a few sec if they look funny at you. There was a lot wrong with league since S6, but this season they just took all of it and made it even worse...

And while the new runes are exiting for atleast some time, i don't think the'll do much as i really don't see any efforts from riot to adress the big issues of the game. Yes, getting runes and masteries together and removeing the ip/lvl gateing is a great call especially for new players and something that should have happened a long time ago, but fixing all ths shit they fucked up within the ast few years would have higher priority for me.

It seems like you have two complaints here:

All the champions you play are weak or no longer fun for you. In response to that, all I can say is branch out. It seems like every champ you play is one of those that was designed really poorly and thus is not relevant to the game, meaning they usually have to be too weak until they can be reworked otherwise they just become horrible for everyone. It sucks, and I'm sorry for you... but there're over a hundred champions. Surely if you experiment you can find some more you like. Best of luck!

Best solution: Remove crit altogether and do a complete overhaul on ADC items.

Cheap but kind of effective solution: Remove IE so at least some of ADC exponential scaling is removed.

At least you can go slightly off-meta and still win. For instance, Junglers have penalties for over-camping a single lane, and that sneaking in dragons as a botlane duo was actually doable.

This season anything that's slightly "offmeta" is considered trolling now, since doing so heavily increases your chance of losing.

I've been playing on the PBE and I can already tell I won't last the whole of next season unless things get massively tuned down in Pre-Season. Sad times.

I agree with everything you said. RIOT is ruining the game for a lot of people. Also noticing a LOT more scripters in ranked this season. And like you said: Too many adc's with insane burst and certain tanks just un-killable (you forgot to mention Maoki)

matchmaking is pure garbage. It was bad last season but this season it's like mentally handicapped people wrote the code... and yes, I do mean offense. How do you take such a good, fun game and ruin it so properly? At this point you've lost me. I only play if friends want me to or if my wife really wants to duo.

This season is not "pure meta slaves win" and nothing else.

I play Akali top and mid. She still works. In top 5 in NA leader there's an akali top main.

I also recently tried Nocturne top, and he worked surprisingly well due to how quickly you can clear waves with his passive and tiamat (an entire wave in 1 second).

MF is still one of the best ADCs for soloq. etc

i agree and disagree at the same time. Bot and mid can win the game too, but they have to snowball and close the game by 20-30 minutes. If it goes further and your bot lane lost, you pretty much lost :(

As adcs and supports are the stars of team fights. Top and mids can make picks. Junglers can start snowballing, so, they got a big impact too. But yeh, if the game goes 30+ the botlane that won bot lane pretty much wins game

The only way mid snowballs is by roaming bot to put their ADC behind. Everything is about the ADC and that's a problem. Honestly, Riot should admit that marksmen are a design failure and more or less delete the entire class.

actually you can snowball mid by winning your lane and destroying the enemy jungler as well via vision and invasions ;)

without influencing bot lane. The issue with ADCs now is that riot accelerated their item power spike........ by a lot

but to be fair, lane roaming to bot lane is one of the nicest way to snowball mid/top

Adcs now have more base damage then bruisers and tanks at lvl 1 because f@ck logic...

If you want to play Garen/darius/trundle/or what ever bruiser? go play him with 60 ad +7 armor that he gets from base buff.. while the adc would have +7 armor too and 67 AD because FUCK YOU

The new season would be 5 adcs vs 5 adcs...

It's not even about OP stuff, that happens and is completely normal in a game like this. But leaving OP stuff like Twitch, Ardent and Crit items in their broken state is bullshit. They didn't even try to fix it.

Ironicaly, they even ruined World's, making it a boring sleep show.

Playing exclusively ranked is depressing. In normals you can play what you want without real consequences, which is why I always climb until I'm earning 20 LP for victory (when the system thinks your ladder rank is appropriate for your MMR) and then exclusively playing normal games as whatever champion seems the most fun at the time.

Even if your main and all of your backups have become and dictate THE meta, it's not all sunshines and rainbows for them either.

You'll probably never get to play your mains, and it only gets worse the higher you climb because their pick/banrates will only get higher. Though in lower elos it's much more generous. You are practically trolling for not playing/building exactly the way the meta wants you to build. Ahem, Ardent Censer and Ancient Coin. Sometimes with a chance to be accused of trolling for not taking heal.

I don't know about you, but these don't sound fun at all.

I know I'm hardstuck gold but it only gets worse the higher up you go.

This season is the final form of nerfing burst champions, individually or systemically, and buffing the defensive capabilities of sustained damage dealers. Through items, shields, heals and the list goes on.

I mean Riot even admitted it, when from the equation Burst > Sustained damage > Tanks > Burst you remove the Burst this is what you get. An arms race between tanks and control mages/ADCs which leave every other class unplayable in high gold income positions (top/mid/jungle)

i entirely agree i play since several years now and i was always happy playing this game hyped when a game begins trying lot of different picks but now like idk i dont even find playing fun but i literaly have nothing else to do ... same feeling as you about preseason tho runes lookin cool , worlds kinda also hypin me up a bit , but not as much as last years ( well mostly cuz i support MSF but they'll face SKT ) , tbh i though this came just from me since i was kinda depressed before due to my parents divorce , soi played league over and over cuz i wasnt feeling like going out , and this year i changed school and dont have many friends , well i do but i feel like we alwyas speak about same things , and its boring like i feel like ppl arnt interesting at all days melt into others , etc so i was like yeah maybe im just fukin depressed and thats why , but lot of ppl are complaining , and i cant even get some fun in league tho . Might sound stupid the last thing that makes me happy right now is when i see my gf like i feel like its the only person that understands me ( but im getin away from the post tho ) . Yeah actually this season meta sucks , i main assassins and MEH either too op and perma banned ( lethality BRU ) , or absolutely useless ( hi ridiculous frontline full cc tanks and unkillable adc due to shields ) ... i'd like supports and adcs to get nerfed and mao , galio , seju too , and i'd like a small zed nerf since i otp him since several years its one of the only champ i always find fun to play but its always fukin banned .

Well, the slav meta changes quite often. Didn't you know about all the wars in the slavic region? Each region gets buffs and nerfs more frequently then riot fails to balance the game!

Hi I totally agree my love for coming home to enjoy a game of league after work is also almost completely gone I have been playing league since season 2 and might I add the match making is totally crap this season I still say their mma method is bs so lets say I never tank or engage teamfights what would be the point but then you get the players who wont bait or ward or try push team gold think the game is only about kdr that most probably do endup with a good kdr gets place in gold league who play their lanes against bronze league4 or 5 players frustrate the bronze people who always gets flamed at or endup loosing a bunch off games because off leagues so called mma method is fair so lets say I go play a bunch off arams and win a lot that effects my mma then move to a few ranked games get placed in bronze 1 loose 20 games in a row a lot off afk players me loosing my lane 1 time or two times get flamed at and reported because off a kdr that isnt positive or meet their needs and after games noticing you where matched vs silver and gold players that would award you 20 points at most or even having so many other people loosing their lanes because their skill level isnt close to the oponents skill level endup with negative stats and also being flamed by some other player and the list goes on and riot still dont understand the dynamics and how it works and what to do about their own game so whats next riot remove the option to not view opponents profiles? To stop people like me from complaining? You already removed the enemy team borders because off this and people being more aware or not to mention 95 % off my games I always endup being counter picked in lineups aswell yet you dont care about your comunity preople to even respond or have a look into the matters so I gues season 7 was my final year for ending this feeling about the game atleast I hope this might help as a guide for them to understand this for what its worth and I agree with people some remakes was a must but others not they messed up a lot off peoples main champs to get spotlight on those champs well good work riot keep it up only a few million more people to loose
