If X champion was released today...

How would you think an older design would be if it was released today? I'll start

-Varus:

Range: 600

Passive: On top of giving attack speed; on a takedown it also grants 20% lifesteal and spellvamp and reduces varus' cooldowns by 4 seconds.

Q: range and speed increased to match Kaisa's. Ignores a % of enemy armor.

W: unchanged except for On-hit magic damage increases per stack. Varus can also activate it to perform a small hop similar to Kalista's passive and it gives varus a small shield can be used during piercing arrow's wind up so nobody is actually ever out of range to be sniped. (Because what is a 2019 champion without dumb advantages just cause?)

E: Actually does damage now, applies grounded, and Aatrox's mutilated debuff. Cast time is reduced by attack speed.

R: Can't be cleansed/QSS'd, if an enemy is killed while rooted, the tendrils instantly spread to nearby enemy targets.

Counterplay? What is that?
