That is the ultimate fantasy of the tank, so... yes.

Besides, no tank is ever truly unkillable. That's what penetration items are for.

Yes. If damage in general goes down, Maokai's would too. He'd take longer to kill, and take longer to kill you. That's the point of a tank.

Old Maokai main chiming in, yeah he does too much damage. The fact that his old W was percent health was dumb, and his new E is still dumb. Honestly they need to not give tanks %dmg, because it means they hurt no matter what. They should just have shitty base damage with decent scaling so if they opt into some damage they can do damage but not so high that one item with some AP can chunk softies.

I think the emphasis on champion/kit based tankiness made even more of a problem. Tank update was kind of a fail because riot nerfed items all across the board, and gave 3 champs this new self reliant tank kit, leaving most others to die in waste of poor itemization. They also buffed adcs and haven't touched adc items at all since, even though adc damage has been a clear problem.

You getting down voted to heal is a real inside look to how many Tank mains are on this boards day and night crying. The reason behind the crying? They can no longer pick a braindead tank and stomp everyone and be literally unkillable,Maokai is one of the most cancerous champs in the game besides Yasuo,i've seen so many games where Mao got 2 kills early and was literally killing people 1v4,alone,and killing all 4

Them taking away the basic defensive runes for early game aggro is a serious hinder.. also they boost poke damage up.. so ya its kinda BS.. but a good note is now i can play Leo and wreck house again.. lvl 2 engages with ignite is OP again..
