Galio Should Be Loved

Gallo remains virtually unchanged since Season 2 but has been in the bottom 10 played champs consistently (if not constantly) since then.

There are tons of us who love this champ but his kit outdated, his cooldowns are too long and his synergy with items seems to get worse every patch. The constraints of his mana costs, cooldowns and melee attack range even prevent him from succeeding in the role of being an anti-AP mid.

So please, have a heart. Polish that poor, 4-seasons-long neglected Gargoyle and give him a nice loving home to perch upon and gaze down at the rift. I think you should start with eye lasers.

Galio is actually pretty damn good right now. Sure he lost item 3174 but item 3102 item 3027 item 3065 item 3001 all got better. Rito even gave him a item 3152 to engage with.

Oh God I forgot how broken protobelt is on Galio.

Can't tell if you're serious or not.

I honestly think the best use is AFTER your ult, when the melees are close to you and you get that point-blank rocket belt damage.

He is really strong at the moment however he has some problems that could be solved easily. One of the most irritating is the minion block. He has a huge hitbox and it clashes way too easily with minions including allied ones. His incredible slow auto attack animation.I lost too many minions because of the slow movement speed+slow auto animation. That's it.I think he is fine otherwise.

I play a decent amount of support Galio, and there is one thing I would especially love to see for him.

Make his W castable on turrets. He's a gargoyle, let him protect a building!

Well a big problem is that he does not fit very well with any of the keystone masteries. However, the new item 3027 is good on him so that has helped. Since 6.9, I have not really had huge mana problems with him (largely because of ROA) which is also a good thing. I think just think they need to speed up his q and e animations so that they cannot be dodged so easily.

I scared the hell out of a Xerath the other day while midding with him. He has a ton of potential. I think either his movement speed needs to be faster to allow for better juking/dodging or, as you said, his Q needs to be faster.

Basically it feels like he is struggling to do as much damage as he takes.

He's too mana hungry to spam his abilities and hope one hits. His abilites are slow enough to be easy to dodge. He has to get in punch-range to CS, putting him at risk of taking damage. (And his punch is slow as hell.) His ability to support other champions lategame as a tank and devastating Q spammer are good, but his abilities don't really let him peel to protect the ADC/etc, which means you're still relying on either a "protect the carry" or poke team comp.

If you survive his laning phase, he's amazing.

I'd argue that he's nearly unstoppable when against certain matchups, making him an amazing niche. However, he falls hard vs. champs who have fast, spammable poke and movement speed because he can't dodge well and his stuff is easily dodged.

He was one of the champs that ACTUALLY needed his spells shifted to lower cooldowns for more sustainable DPS (unlike Malzahar). If they eased the healing drop-off on his Bulwark, it would also really make him more easy to lane into AP matchups.

He's definitely not weak right-now. He's thriving quite well against mages. Second-highest winrate midlane, only behind the drain-tanking monstrosity they made Swain into.

Shh.

We don't need AP burst figuring out that we have a champ designed almost explicitly around counterplay on them.

we don't want the 10 gold per second galio back
