WHY?????

Why does Ashes Ult run off AP, when nothing else about her runs off AP. I dont know why you would but even if you do get AP just to do more damage on your ult the amount of AP you actually get is very low.

When Ashes kit was changed why was this not changed?

Also, please remove support from her Secondary role. Personally I dont mind it but this league is too toxic to accept that she can be used as support. Its almost like picking Teemo....the moment you lock her in as support your team is just waiting for you do make a mistake so they flame you or report you for something.

because it's a utility ult with global initiation, why should it scale with her primary damage stat too? she has enough damage with her passive Q and W.

Ashe isn't a secondary support in that she's literally going to play support. It's her secondary because she's a utility ADC with her permaslows, vision and global stun. nothing to do with how toxic the players are; she's still an ADC.

Probably because they didn't want her ult to do major damage from scaling because its utility is so incredibly strong?

Support is really the only feasible secondary role for her. And actually, support Ashe was a thing a while back (probably the reason they listed it, as opposed to have no secondary). But that was back when her passive gave her an auto-crit every so often, so Support Ashe's role (at least during laning) was just to wait for that crit to be up, pop out and auto an opponent, then duck back and wait again.

As for the AP ratio on the ult, they would have to nerf the base damage quite a bit and give it a light AD scaling if you wanted AD scaling. But what it really enforces is that the ult is supposed to be primarily a utility tool for initiation or sometimes escape. It doesn't need to scale off damage because it's not intended as a big nuke spell.

yeah...dont get me wrong. I like using her as support when I do do it. its just with so many toxic people and this current belief in the league that the support HAS to be a tank.....you are pretty much asking to be flamed once you lock her in as support.

It leads to a harmless, albeit hilarious if pulled off, off build for Ashe. The Ultimate quite frankly is not known for its damage, but for its Range and Stun, if you are trying to phrase the AP part of your post as she needs more damage or it should scale on AD or whatever, please don't push it any further. You'd just be adding unnecessary power to the ability and start undercutting the power budget on it for something it's actually known for.

Also the Role system needs to be fixed from the ground up imo. Not just for Ashe but for all Champions.

No, im not asking that it be changed to scale off AD. Im just wondering what was their thinking in making it scale off AP.....and to scale so little when she is a ADC. Its just weird to see when you read her in game ability description and to see how little effect any AP has on her when you get it. It might as well just have no AD or AP scaling, just have flat set of damage output for each rank up.

She is not the only champ that has something that puzzles me. Take Galio........I really like playing this champ......I know he is about to get re-worked but his current passive bothers me........he is the only champ in the game who can have his passive completely removed from the game. His passive is that he gains bonus AP of %50 of his total magic resistance. But one day when I was against a all AD team.....i had no reason to build magic resistance......therefore i was the only champ in the game that couldn't take advantage of my passive. I hope this is changed in his rework.

Yeah I agree on how you can effectively remove the scaling and nothing terrible immediately happening. Currently though, it's not broke, so no need to fix it.

I know..im not asking for AD scaling ...just wonder why they chose AP scaling when it makes no sense to get AP on her at all. Might as well have no scaling and just a flat set of damage per rank.

Because spells with absolutely no scalling are not a cool feature. It's meant to not scale in damage, but it has an option if you, for god knows what reason, want to increase your ult damage.

Secondary roles really mean nothing for the vast majority of champions

As for the AP scaling on her ultimate, its because its a utility ultimate and not a damage ultimate. Riot does not want you to ult for the damage on Ashe.
