Let's assume Vayne has an IE, Last Whisper, Sword of the Occult, and 3 80 AD items.

This gives her 649 AD. Let's assume a Taric ult + Zeke's Herald nearby, and a 1000 AP Janna shield on Vayne. This brings her AD up to 854. Let's also assume baron buff and full scaling AD runes + masteries; this brings her AD to 894 after Baron, 910.38 after runes (all AD scaling per level except Quints and Marks, those being flat armor pen), 970.94 after masteries. Let's also assume level 5 dragon, and that dragon buff is multiplicative with Warlord; her AD is then 1086.95. Additionally, her armor penetration is (since it is multiplicative) is 39% + 25 flat.

Now, Shen has 4000 health and 300 armor. After armor penetration his armor is 158, making him take only 38.76% damage from physical attacks. Let's assume Vayne crits every attack and uses a Tumble every attack (I am disregarding her E as a tumble auto does more damage for a "shot"). Her critical strikes will deal 3260.85 damage, except with masteries it changes to 3407.59. Thus, 3 Tumble Crit autos will deal 10222.76 physical damage + 380 true damage. After armor, this is 3962.34 physical damage + 380 true damage.

So yes, Vayne can realistically 3 shot a Shen, assuming you somehow fed her 20 Sword of the occult Stacks, she crit 3 times in a row on a Tumble autoattack, she had a full AP Janna shielding her, a Taric who also bought Zeke's existed (lol wut), and that she took literally every single lategame scaling offensive thing she could. Even then, other ADCs could kill anyone close to that fast (Draven's 3 autos with that AD and a crit every Q attack gives him 11415.42 physical damage or 4424.61 physical damage, which you may notice beats out Vayne at literally any point and doesn't require focusing a target).

In conclusion, technically Vayne could do that. She'd have to have one of the highest AD amounts she could get in a game, be fed to hell and back, somehow not be punished for how intensely squishy she built, have a just as Fed Janna and a Taric nearby, and be allowed to autoattack the same target 3 times, but it could 'technically' happen.

I figured I stacked the deck enough for Vayne; besides, Black Cleaver stacks would reduce Shen's armor below 300, when OP specifically said he had 300 armor.

Assuming 200 MR and that Vayne does not have magic pen outside of the mastery (6%), Shen takes 34.72% magic damage. This makes Nami's E add a grand total of 296.88 magic damage over 3 shots.

A) OP said Shen had 300 armor; an armor reducing spell puts that below 300 armor, MEANING IT ISN'T 300 ARMOR ANYMORE. I can give Vayne all the armor penetration she wants, as that does not actually reduce armor, but reducing Shen's armor is cheating.

B) BotRK is 25 AD vs 80 AD and the passive. 8% current health of Shen at MAX health is 320. 55 AD increased to 65.3 from dragon + masteries = 195.89 extra damage over 3 autoattacks equals 587.67 damage; 8% current health over those 3 autos equals (roughly, and assuming BotRK damage goes before your normal autoattack damage) 320, 204.42, 88.3. So, BotRK damage is 612.72 compared too 587.67. So you gained 25.05 damage, reduced to a gain of 9.71 damage after armor. Somehow I doubt that 9.71 extra damage is changing the tide.

Vayne is absolute cancer. Only other ADCs can defeat Vayne.

Meanwhile, ADC mains whine like fk any time a melee dares get within 500 miles of them and gets them nerfed.

lmao. So you can see Vayne. OK? Can you reach her as most melees? No. No melee can outduel Vayne if both can see each other. Shit, most melees can't even touch her. The few that can are squishy and need Banshees. Vayne is also less vulnerable to teamfight initiations than most ADCs due to her easy dash and condemn.

Much easier than I can reach Kalista. She can push one person away once on a huge cooldown, and stun that one person if they approach from a wall. A gap closer can overcome that, as can exploding her before she can use it. She is awesome at duelling - she's labelled as a marksman-assassin for a reason - but in exchange she has low range, no poke, no real escape other than a short roll (and stealth.)

I don't know, I've never had much trouble killing Vaynes as Tryndamere, but the Vaynes in Silver might be bad.

what was the vayne's build? if it was an average build, it's not possible to 3-shot. if it was a full AD build, you could still do massive crits and disregard armor at the cost of life steal

critplank can 3-shot one too, same with most high damage dealers. A shen that engages a vayne probably deserved it because vayne could stay out of his range eternally
