AUTOFILL IS A SCAM

Riot, ever thought that autofill would make us lose more games AND make our games a lot less fun? Well it does. I'm so sick of being put into an off-role just for faster queue times. It's better to have longer queue times than to lose LP because we were put into a role that we hate or are bad at. It's seriously annoying that I queue up for ADC and MID but I get autofilled into Top or Support-my two worst roles. I know that we should be able to do pretty well in every role but I'm bronze, so that's not really going to happen. I just request that you take autofill away from this game because it's better to wait ten minutes for a game than to lose around 20 LP because of some stupid feature.

What was the champion select before team builder / dynamic queue champ select? How'd you get your roles?

Pick order...highest picks selected the roles they wanted to play and the people who picked after that took what was left.

Worked great imo.

I preferred the old system. less toxicity.

but whatever.

How is that much different than what's happening with auto fill? Sounds like potentially 4 people wouldn't get the role they wanted and the last person picking always gets support.

Like first person calls mid and picks it. Then 2nd person wanted mid, so they just take top... but 3rd person wanted top so they take ADC, but the 4th person wanted ADC so they settle for jungle. Then 5th person wanted jungle but all they can do is support.

I'm not sure there's ever a case where 5 people are auto filled in this. Before and after seems like lots of people wouldn't get what they wanted to play, at least now you have a better chance I think.

Because it was consistent, and people didn't expect their main role. Instead, they slowly but surely became good in the game as a whole.

Because the pick order was random (first picked used to be highest elo but they changed it) so you knew you would not always get your main role but you still had a good chance of getting it and people actually had to learn to play all roles which made them better at the game overall.
