50k points feels about right to master a champ. maybe add a 6th level for true mastery?

People read too much into this. It's not really mastering a champ if all you are doing is gathering up points from playing too many games with a champion. Experience does not necessarily equal mastery. Progress/Improvement = Mastery.

But then I don't want to be a Debbie downer so you guys keep having fun with that. :)

damn, i feel sorry for your team with all that soraka play xD. seems like every soraka i see feeds the hell out of the enemy adc in lane, then runs around in the mid game spamming heal and getting caught

I would not have been able to go from Silver 5 to Gold 1 if I did that :P She not the best champ, but she has her uses ;)
