"No control over your lane" is a lie, the jungler is not playing the lane 2v1 all game. There is a time he will find it useful to be up there, like when the wave is pushing onto the opponent and therefore allows him easier ganks. A lot of the smaller misplays and now punishable this season and it's really casual to say you don't deserve to be punished for getting cocky or blindly doing what you want.
As I said, I don't mind a rotating game mode of some sort. But in ranked, the rubberbanding that would ensue from past seasons would just come back in full force. The way the current meta sits is that you have to pick something that secures your team an advantage rather than "play good enough to make it work." That's all based on the mix/max nature of what we've gotten through competition and the balancing between competitors.
To show an example, pro play back then was extremely slow and barely anything happened on the map. There was a lot of safety across the map because the likelihood you would die when playing smart was very low, and only a small set of champions could force plays to happen. This was not the case for other people. Lower elo has always been known for breaking 30 kills across both teams, with competitive not even having such a thing often. We'd essentially be returning to that time where farming matters more than any outplay.
The game being too fast-paced is subjective. For a casual playstyle, a longer game where you're not punished for everything has existed in past seasons. But it's nothing more than casual. Good for a rotating game mode, not so good for the ranked queue experience. You deserve to have fun but ranked is a place where the challenge is supposed to be the goal, and the challenge in and of itself can be fun.
