Outplay = Unbalanced is Skill = Unbalanced

Outplayability champions are the most hated in league of legends, but what the boards fails to realize is they are also considered the most fun (hence why they always have high pickrate and even winrate, they dont always win but the champion kits themselves are undeniably fun to play)

The issue with these champions, and why for whatever reason the boards jumps into action seemingly at random is because in some cases the champs become easier. "BUT HOW COULD THAT BE WITHOUT ANY CHANGES TO THEM?" Simple, a lot of these champions become powerful during major item or meta shifts. These changes and shifts (especially items) Can cause some champions to become significantly easier to play.

Thats why vayne hate has been the thing, because crit is back and vayne is a great crit adc. When armor pen was the adc build vayne was outclassed by most. Yasuo got hate that has continued to now because of the tank item changes and fighters/assassins being able to get REALLY tanky for no penalty in damage (which for the most part is fixed on yasuo.) The same issues happen with Lee Sin only the tank items AND the recent lethality items both strengthened him which is why he became strong.

So you arent upset that difficult champions have strong kits, you have upset when these difficult champions become easy.

You're wrong because champions with the ability to outplay champions on a level that others cannot have an extra vector of safety and and another for aggression. This applies in any meta. They are, and always have been, easier champions. They just have a higher skill ceiling because they are capable of more than the normal champion is.

They gain these advantages without often giving up any damage or utility. It doesn't help that most of them are manaless as well, adding another advantage.

While giving up mana can be an easy thing for people to say makes them easier, it actually gives some of those champions more things to worry about. For instance, a Mana champion usually their main concern is CD, while say energy champions main concern is energy. Since if you fail to manage either you will be SOL of an amount of time. Energy champions usually can only do 1 or 2 rotations in a fight, while CD Mana champions (especially with the easiness of CDR now) can do 6 or 7 without running out (unless you are a mana melee assassin/fighter in which case you are the most mana hungry champions in the game) but if either spams those rotations you will run out. The main difference being energy champions have to get in do their rotation, get out and wait for energy to come back. And mana champions need to rotate their spells at a frequency that wont leave them manaless.

And outplay champions AREN'T Safer in fact they are HARDER to be safe with, they have the tools to be safe, but the point of those champions aren't waveclear or objectives. Every champion in the game can play safely. It depends on the player for how good at that you are.
