Most of the problematic tank designs utilize max HP

Title. I saw the gameplay thoughts and couldnt help but laugh. All the problematic tank designs were those tanks that riot injected a shitload of max hp damage into.

The reasoning behind such lunacy was that noodle figts between two tanks were boring and tanks need to be "target agnostic."

In reality they arent target agnostic because their damage against squishies in many cases stayed the same or went down slightly while their damage against tanks and especially bruisers skyrocketed. 20% of a squishies bar versus 20% of say darius's bar may be the same percentage, but in reality the tank is gaining easily over 200 damage simply because hes fighting darius.

Back when chogath was meta he used to hard shit on darius and pretty much every other bruiser in the game. Same goes with ornn, and to a slightly lesser extent even shen back when he wasnt nerfed into the dirt post rework. And who can forget sejuani post rework?

Tanks need to have their max hp shaved so that you can give them access to those high levels of cc and hard, reliable tank steroids without making them broken as hell.

And then theyll be played even less because they do no damage. A tank without damage is a tank thats just ignored.

No because they still bring utility, a body to block skillshots, and their flat damage should be enough to threaten most squishies

If Support tanks were having the issue then this would be fine. But top and jungle tanks still need damage to trade and clear.

Funny how that big HP doesn't really matter unless youre Poppy.
