I have trouble seeing where youre coming from here... Veigar was my first main, and I personally enjoy the rework. Sure, hes different now. But he scales faster. His q can get 2 ap in one shot if you do it right, and although his e isnt as reliable anymore, it serves as a great threat now as well as aoe crowd control. Although you wont stun as much, you can use it to try and make opponents back off. It has more defense to it, while it lost some of its offense.
His w is good as a finisher or just as decent dmg, and probably my least favorite part of his kit.
His ult however is fantastic. It makes him a great anti-mage. Its a point and click NUKE that scales off not just your ap, but your opponents. It offers NO counterplay aside from a well timed spell shield or zhonyas.
Ekko's ult is hard to land, and easy to predict. It gives you a clear warning of where it will be. If you get hit by that, its completely your fault. Besides, Veigar gains ap over the entire game. His ult only gets stronger.
I get it. Veigar isnt as strong as other mages right now. He never really was. However, you need to find a way to make Veigar work if youre gonna play him. I found a way that works for me, and it hasnt let me down yet. So test around with other items. Change what you normally do and find out what items you prefer on him. He can still hold his own with the best.
