I've seen some people that have said they want riot to make this new upcoming rework of an item become an item for AD supports. I've seen their argument now please read mine.

As a support main since season 3, it's become my favorite role in the entire game. I like being able to use my combos to initiate, peel, and protect my team mates. I also respect those who go off meta supports like Lux, Lee Sin, Fiddlesticks, and I respect those who go kill lanes with "supports" like Rengar, and Xin. But if you turn this item into an ad item, it will seriously change the supporting role.

Being a support means that your budget it low, you mainly spend your early gold on things like upgrading you gold income item, and rushing a sightstone. If The one thing that holds back those huge kill lanes is their gold income. Damage items are more expensive than supports items and if this gold efficient item comes out for AD assassiny supports what can supports like Sona, Lulu, Nami, Janna do? It will seriously burst up the damage from those kill lanes making already squishy utility supports even more tempting to kill.

I'm all for versatility in every role, but if this item comes out like some people want it the role will be changed dramatically. I seriously respect those who do off meta things, don't take this the wrong way, but if bot lane becomes a kill lane supports will be out of a job. You already don't see every supports played (Zoraka, Zilean, Zyra) if you change this it could open up the possibilities. I agree that AD supports are overlooked, but you guys should not get this item in particular, you should get a different item that wont make the kill lanes impossible to deal with.

Just my two cents as a supports main.
